Thank you for your review. I will be on the November 11th cruise, and was concerned about the food after looking at recent reviews. As we have been to all of the ports on our itinerary many times over, this cruise is about the ship. I am generally not easy to impress, but it sounds like I may be "wow"ed by Anthem!

We will be on the November 11th cruise with you. This will be our 3rd time on the Anthem. Can't wait.

Never once considered phase of the moon when booking a cruise.

Never really thought about it either. Just wondering.

Does a full moon make seas calm? Does a new moon or a full moon affect your decision when to cruise?

We were on the Anthem a couple of weeks ago and due to the number of Diamonds on board, the deck 4 Music Hall bar was used as an overspill. The guys there couldn't do frozen drinks on Diamond, but did loads of Chocolate Martini's!

We are taking our first cruise as diamond on the Anthem November 11th. I know you get 3 drinks per night at almost any bar during the hours as the Diamond Lounge, but are you limited to the same drinks as in the Diamond lounge or can you get frozen drinks or perhaps a chocolate martini. Thanks in advance for your responses.

DH & I are planning a Mediterranean cruise when we retire in 2019. Undecided to go with RCCL or Celebrity. Also, which time to go, May-June or Sept.-October. Would appreciate any feedback.

No pictures but windows in both. CL is larger with many more outside views. DL is more convenient to daytime, inside activities so relatively easy to pop in for a latte or hot tea. Both are nice rooms. I use both when on the Anthem.

We are sailing 11/11 on Anthem, just became Diamond after our May cruise. Looking forward to sailing Anthem again!

Just read a review that Anthem does NOT provide (free) ice to your room? Is that true? Can someone please confirm or deny? Thank you.

You have to request the ice bucket be filled up. Yes, it's free.

Good luck sailing the canal on Royal.

 

I'd want to do a transpacific or around the horn.

We know Royal Caribbean doesn't do the Canal. Probably go with Celebrity.

I booked a cruise last night using the 30% off sale before it expired only to wake up this morning and realize that the price is now cheaper than during the sale. [emoji19]

 

I know that most of these sales don't offer substantial savings and are mostly gimmicky, but this is the first that I've actually paid MORE during a sale. Yes, I'm canceling the booking that I made.

 

Did anybody experience any savings with this sale?

Last week we booked a cruise for next May. With the new sale, we saved $120. so we cancelled & rebooked.

I can log in but when I go to book a cruise, choose my cabin and hit continue, it takes me back to the "Search for a Cruise" page. :mad: This has been happening for 2 days. Cleared my cookies and history. to no avail. I called my CVP yesterday and today, left messages and haven't had a call back. I guess I'll have to book a land vacation somewhere. :rolleyes:

Try using Chrome. That worked for me.

They said they were selling them near Michael's Pub when we were on, but I didn't see anyone. I like to collect them. We are sailing 5/11.

I saw on the RCCL Blog the Anthem was having propulsion problems. Hope this doesn't interfere with your cruise.

Do they sell these fancy glasses onboard? I didn't see any when we were on last November.

It looks like they just released the 18 - 19 Caribbean schedule, but Anthem is not showing as coming out of NJ.

I wonder if she is being replaced!

Caribbean Schedule coming out March 30th. We are waiting for the new schedule also.

I saw glasses shaped like that, but they were a little different design. They were blue, but had multi-colored speckles around the bottom and on the rim of the glass. They had some in one of the bars - that I assume you could purchase with a specialty drink - and then they were also selling them from a a table in front of Michael's Pub on Friday or Saturday.

We are looking to cruise the Panama Canal April 2019.

Here is a nice view of Central Park that shows why we will never have an inside balcony on Central Park or the Board Walk.

Don't understand why anyone would get an inside balcony to have this view. Trainman, have you seen any of the fancy margarita glasses they sell. We were on the Anthem last November & I didn't see any.

Does the Anthem still sell those Souvenir Glasses?

We were on the 11/10 sailing on the Anthem & I thought I heard an announcement that anyone not sailing please leave. Are they allowing people to board the Anthem without sailing to see what the ship is like?
