My husband stayed on the ship and I went with fellow passengers. I really enjoyed the music and the venue. I will probably never get to visit Vienna again and I am glad I decided to attend.. Go for it!

We cruised last June with Uniworld and scheduled to cruise the Rhine the end of June. My husband wore a nice pr of dress pants most nights with a polo shirt and a dress shirt for the two more formal evenings. There were many men with sport jackets but it's not necessary . I asked my husband the question about the jeans and he said he would not wear them to dinner. I have white jeans that I am taking and I could wear them with a dressy blouse for dinner.. I am sure if your husband wears the jeans with a nice shirt he will look fine.. You will love the cruise.... Uniworld is wonderful.. Have a great time..

We are leaving on June 29' 2014 the same itinerary. We didn't want to leave this late in June but due to availability this was the date we chose. We have taken two river Cruises the beginning of June and the weather wasn't too warm. I hate the heat and I would avoid the late summer months but that is my personal opinion. Our last cruise was with Uniworld and absolutely loved it. We traveled to Burgundy and Provence just amazing. Look forward to cruising the Rhine

Thanks for all the replies regarding my questions on airfare for June 2014. I have narrowed the search to Delta with the time that is convenient and my return from Zurich to Amsterdam on to Boston. I have my flight on Yapta waiting to see if there will be price decrease in the fare. If I book and the price drops I will receive a refund. So far the price has remained the same and I will probably book this week.. The web site states it's Delta going and KLM on my return....:) I hope that clarifies my post...

We are cruising Uniworld June 29,2014 Amsterdam to Basel. I have been checking airfares for the past few months and they are still $1500 apiece. We have been watching the desired airline Delta with a good time schedule. We will be returning on KLM leaving from Zurich. Two questions it is worth the extra money on Delta to book premium economy? Should I wait hoping prices will go down or book now?

We cruised this past June and it was fabulous. We had to pay for gratuities and optional excursions . Starting 2014 Uniworld will be All exclusive. We are paying about $300.00 more but we got a wonderful deal which included a French balcony. Cruising the Castle on the Rhine. We cruised Burgundy & Provence which was amazing. I will gladly answer any questions. We are hooked on Uniworld cruised AMA disappointed in the food..

Next June we are cruising On Uniworld our second River Cruise with Uniworld. In 2014 Uniworld will be all inclusive,drinks gratuities etc. Question does anyone know if this includes the optional excursions?

I am glad you had a wonderful time! We are cruising the same itinerary June 2014. We took our first Uniworld this past June Burgundy and Provence and we were also hooked on Uniworld. We were so excited upon returning we immediately booked for next year. Did you do a precruise or post cruise? We are going to spend three days in Amsterdam on our own and two days in Lucerne booked with Uniworld. Are you going to post a review? Very interested in the details.

Attire in the evening . I just returned from my second River Cruise and I will give you some info about attire for Captain's night also the Farewell dinner. I was quite surprised that people dressed really nice for the Farewell dinner and not so much for the Captains dinner. There were jackets and ties but my husband wore a golf shirt and slacks really no one cares.. I had a few black tops interchanged with jewelry and I was fine. Don't fret you will be fine. Taking less is easier in the grand scheme of things..

We are cruising on the SS Antoinette next June so I am quite Interested in all the information. We haven't made reservations for Amsterdam(probably staying three days) too early to book. Did you do a precruise? We love Uniworld just returned from Burgundy & Provence it was amazing..keep me posted. Not sure if we will do Basel post cruise. Need to be convinced if its worth it..
