With all this being said about picking up your luggage; where do you pick it up at? Is it in the terminal on a carousal like at an airport (forgive me for my dumb question, I am a first time cruiser who now has less then 25 days until CRUISE TIME!!!).
-
Guess that is even more of a reason to make sure we pack light then.
-
If you Self-Assist Disembark, do you have to take ALL of your luggage with you or can you leave some that will be taken off the ship for you and you pick it up at the terminal (or wherever the luggage pick up place is)?

I know that irons or steamers cannot be brought on board but what about a curling iron?
-
I prefer tea from time to time but not enough to justify paying for the Beverage Package that involves Tea (think it is something like $26.00/day right now).
Questions: 1) can I bring my own tea and 2) will they bring me hot water if I ask for it?

I have heard that Sunny Liston is very good. Had some friends that did it last May and they loved it. Said the driver they had was awesome. We plan on suing Sunny Liston when we go in May.
Suing or using? :)
Are you sure you what to go all the way down there in May just to sue him? ;)

I just received my 'Guest Ticket Booklet' from RCI for an upcoming cruise of the E. Caribbean. In it under 'Inoculation/Health' it states"...before sailing to make sure you are up to date with any required immunizations or vaccines you may need (including but not limited to certification of yellow fever vaccination) to ensure you will be permitted to visit each of the exciting destinations and tours on your itinerary..."
First I have heard of this. Does this mean I will need to take along Vaccination Records to provide proof of this?

Sept 14, 2016 on Trip Advisor.
His Web Site is still up.

Researched them all and they all seem very similar.
Have any experience with any of these? Which one would you prefer and why?
Is there another tour company that may be even better that you can recommend that I should be looking into?
-
Oppos, another mistake today (just not may day).
I did check the link that you sent me and I found what I was looking for under, 'Request-A-Wave.'
Thanks again, Bob.
-
Thanks Bob, but that is not what I was think of (web cam of Port).
I was thinking about a group that video tapes you so that yours can see you on the web as you sail away.

oppos, sorry. I did not think that this posted the first time...NEVERMIND.

I lost my link and name of the organization/company that takes your picture from a building as you sail out of Ft. Lauderdale.
I appreciate it if someone can post that link (or just tell me the company), so that I can make contact with them
Also, where is the best place on Allure of the Seas to be position for this photo (Group of 14 Family and Friends).
Thank You CC'ers.

I lost my link and the name of the company that takes your picture form the building as you sail away from Ft. Lauderdale. Appreciate anyone's help who can lead me back to them.
Also, where is the best place to be so that they can find you and take your picture during sail away? On the Allure of the Seas

Exact same thing happen to me. When I first notice the switch, I contacted RCI Dinning (email) and they said it was a 'ship operation decision to better serve it's customers.'
I don't like it but like they say...'it is what it is."

After reading these great reviews, I feel I made the right decision to book with Capt. Bob and am looking forward to it more then ever.
We will be there the end of March. He already sent me the directions to get to his place.
My question: is it easy to find, easy to get there (by walking) and lastly, how long does it take from cruise port to Capt. Bobs?
-
Using the pre-cruise Cruise Planner, you must purchase for all days of the cruise.
However, if you wait until you are onboard, you can skip up to 3 days at the start of the cruise, but you must purchase for at least 4 days, and it must last until the end of the cruise.
Will the cost be the same if I wait until on the cruise?
-
Not big drinkers but DW would like a coke from time to time (esp. during meals). Currently, Cruise Planner is offering it for $8.50 a day. She is thinking that she really doesn't need it on the first day or the last day for that matter.
Question: on Cruise planner, can you select only the days you want this package or should I wait until on-board to purchase this?
FYI-the days I am looking at are 5 consecutive (day 2 to day 6).
-
Looking for the same.

I just printed out our On-Line Check-In SeaSail. I thought the Luggage Tag was on it but when I read the documentation closer, it states, "They are not real luggage tags. Please use official luggage tags..."
Where can I find the 'official' luggage tags or will they be emailed to me as we get closer to the cruise sailing date?

What can you tell me about this excursion (recommend or not)?
RCI is offering this but I am wondering if this can be done on one's own at a better price with less crowds? If you can do it on your own, is it doable (i.e. will it be easy to get transportation to and from the place, transportation expense)?

How does it work? Do you sign up for a time or can you just walk up and do it?
If have to sign it, how much time does that take (FYI: I already signed my wavier on-line)?

I will be rooming with a friend and like to have the beds separated. Do I tell RCI (Allure) ahead of time or the Cabin Attention when I board? If ahead of time, who do I contact?
