FYI-I will be on Allure & I also use a CPAP. I told RCI (Special Needs email address and form) about it and I just received a confirmation that there will be an extension cord AND distilled water in my cabin upon embark at 'NO Cost." :)

I was wondering if anyone had ever brought their own climbing equipment for the rock wall?
It is a funny question but nothing dumb about it. Isn't the point of Cruise Critic to ask questions so that we have a better cruise (especially for 1st Timers like myself because I know I have asked my share of 'dumb' questions).

add this question to the list:
"can we bring our own climbing equipment for the rock wall on board?"
great post!!!

Recommendations for parking the car while on the cruise. Rates and do they have easy and dependable shuttle services?
For Port Everglades.

opps, you are right. I have been bumping a lot of the old ones this AM and mistakenly did this one also.

If interested in watching Allure of the Seas or other cruise ships 'sail away' from FLL; you might be interested in this site for a web cam of Port FLL.

While I was at it, I check Maho Beach to watch some planes land. I notice a lot of big boulders on the beach. I do not remember them there before. Is this new? Is the beach disappearing?

Just like a lot of people, we were assigned MTD because everything was already 'booked' (writers' comment: strange since it was over a year before this cruise ). As a large group, we wanted to switch from MTD to Traditional Early Dinning so we always have the same location and time. Since our sailing is not until March 2017, I tried and tried and then just told them to put us on the 'Wait List.'
After reading this thread, I decided to check out our reservations and we (group of 14 people), have all been moved to Traditional Dinning :) . This happened without my knowledge. I called my TA to confirm this change and they verified that it was done :).
Now I have 1 less concern. Time to focus on Excursions and Entertainment scheduling.

I was unsure of it when I made the same switch but for a +$240. After reading all these commits, I now feel a lot better about making this switch.
PS: the $240 is for 2 :) .

I just found this that you might be interested in. It is a tour of only Maho & Orient. It is with Amigo Tours. I know nothing about them other then this web site. Web Site says $40 per person for 4.5 hours.

If anyone has used Amigo Tours, I appreciate your input/review.

What more can you tell me about Magen's Uphill Trail?
Where is the Trail Head? Is it in the park and if so will it cost to get into the park and then on the trail?
How is the best and cheapest way to do this (i.e. cost/time for taxi to Trail Head, time hiking)?
Loop or out and back?
Does it end at the Beach so that you can take a dip afterwards :) ?

Let's throw in another twist.
Can you purchase a ticket for the Sky Ride just for the way down?
Thinking of doing a local tour and having them drop us off at PP and then riding down on the trams.

Looking to do my own thing (i.e. no ship excursion or local tour). How much for a taxi to/from Sapphire Beach? How much for rentals (Snorkeling equipment & Umbrella/Chair)?
Since I am asking; how much time by taxi does it take from the cruise port to this beach? How much time should I allow for the return trip back? Are taxis back easily available ?
(don't need or want the stress of thinking that I will miss the ship so I want to allow plenty of time)
FYI-probably a group of 6 adults and maybe 2 kids under 16 years old.

I checked the Deck Plans for the Allure of the Seas and I cannot locate the Infirmary/Ship's Doc. Office (whatever the nautical term for it is). Where is it and does it have operating hours or is it open 24/7?

Leaving out of FLL.
Not sure where we will park at this time but wherever we park; will I be able to make a drop off near the terminal/ship (MIL has trouble walking long distances), and then go park the car? If I do park at a place with a shuttle service, will the shuttle drop you off near the terminal/ship within reasonable (i.e. very short) walking distance?

I see from your pictures that you go to the Engine Control Room. Do they take you to see the actually Engine Room and the actually engines?

Was always wondering about doing the Allure tour but your pictures clinch it. I HAVE to do it now! Can you pre-register or do you sign up once on the ship?
-
I see a post now and again referring to a Cabin Crawl. I think I have an idea what this is but just in case I am wrong; what is it and is it an official organized activity?

Outstanding site . Thanks Bob.

I have narrowed down what I like to do when we are in various ports. The finally plan will be determined by the number of cruise ships in that port on the same day. How can I find out how many cruise ships will be in the same port on the same day?
-
Even though it seems expensive, we (family) figure my FIL would love to do this. Maybe get him a gift certificate for this tour or maybe just the $150 OBC. We will figure it out (appreciate any and all Cruise Critic suggestions), but in the meantime, I have these questions:
1) when is the tour (on a sea day, AM/PM)?
2) how long is the tour?
3) can you pre-register for it (cruise planner)?
4) if you can't pre-register, when and where do you register for it?
Thanks in advance for your time and answers with this.

MTD Reservations on Cruise Calendar?
in Royal Caribbean International

What if you have Traditional Dinning; would that show up in the cruise calendar?
