  1. We will be sailing in June and I am wondering the best way to bring wine for our room on board. What is the best way to pack it? Can we check a box with our luggage?

Also food question - newly diagnosed gluten free. What is the gluten free diet like on regatta? Will there be things I can eat?:o

  2. We have been RVer's for the past 17 years and have toured the west coast several times. Thought Port Orchard and Bremerton might be something different. Have done Mt St Helena twice. Not sure what we will do.

  3. I just found a hotel deal in Seattle. Through groupon, I booked Best Western Evergreen Inn at $75 a night. We will be there 3 nights starting on tuesday, June24th.

We will have a car so we can get around. They will keep the car during the cruise for $8 a day. Then we would need the super shuttle to the pier. $12 a person each way. Parking across from the pier is $200 for the cruise time. Not sure what we will do about this.

They do shuttle to the airport and you could get a shuttle from there to the port.

  4. We want to bring some wine for our cabin in June. What is the best way to bring it aboard? If we send a box thru or a soft ice chest, will it go ok? Or should I worry about the bottles breaking?

  5. We are on the 7/27 sailing to Alaska. It is our first with Oceanic. Do the doc come directly to you at home or to your TA?

Hope you give us an account of your cruise. Hints on what to see and do... Hints to enjoy the ship.

    Thanks.

  6. We cruised out of SF last Sept. I found the Columbus Motor Inn on Columbus Ave. We were able to walk to the waterfront and the cable car was right around the corner. Bus stop is in front of the hotel.

We asked for a room in the back and it was quiet with a wonderful view. Our friends with us were on the Columbus Ave side. They had a small balcony and could see the ship when it pulled in.

    Good luck.

  7. We were there last Sept and had a wonderful tour with Taste of San Francisco. He picked us up at our hotel in a black BMW van with a small group. It was the City tour. We were there during the Americas Cup race. While passing the waterfront, he pulled into a no parking place, hollered unscheduled stop to see the race. I think his name was Gary.

    Great tour.
