  1. But they aren’t doing their best. To me doing their best is to deal with paperwork as it comes in, oldest to newest. The way it seems now it that they throw it up in the air and whatever lands on top is dealt with first. I can totally get behind first come, first serve. If you want to wait until whenever that fine.
  2. Ok but why do some get it the same day or the next? When you say this (hal not you)you lose all credibility with me.
  3. This is what is super annoying. Some people get it the same day, others wait forever. Kind of a problem when the cruise is coming up quickly like yours. It should be first come, first serve. Glad you were able to get it applied in time.
  4. I’ve had two booking numbers and gotten the $250 instead of the $200 for the 14 days. That said sometimes it’s a struggle for them to to understand what I’m plainly explaining. Other times it’s no problem.
  5. Totally agree on the quality of the person thing. That said if you deal with a pcc it comes right through the upsell department. The pcc does get a cc on that information I believe.
  6. That’s a very good rate. For me to go from a balcony to a Neptune was multiples of that and I didn’t get a cheap price for my cruise either.

  8. It seems that people that are on casino deals get upsell offers all the time. Hard to believe it depends on the price you pay unless they are going out to people that paid the least. From the stupid things that hal pulls at times I wouldn’t be surprised.
  9. It doesn’t work that way anymore. I’d also like to know how you try for an earlier time. Hal assigns you a time in which you are to show up. It seems people don’t listen then complain about lines. I know people say but my hotel check out time is at 11. Everyone has the same check out time. Every hotel I’ve ever stayed at will hold your luggage.

  12. Yes but that’s not what is being offered. It’s a vista suite. I got the same offer on my koningsdam cruises. The first time I bit. The second chance I didn’t. It’s barely bigger than a balcony room. Not worth it to me.
  13. Happy birthday! Sorry for the late greeting. I haven’t had a chance to be on cruise critic since early this morning. Thank you also for taking one for the team and going to the retreat party. Glad you found it worthwhile.
  14. I’ve found the steak and shrimp on every cruise I’ve been on for the longest time so I don’t think it’s a substitution. I’ve been on the koningsdam for a month since November and the only lobster was for purchase. It has not been on menus for the most part since the start up with very few isolated cases. I know some feel it’s a supply chain issue but the other carnival corporation lines don’t seem to be having the same issues.
  15. I was thinking the same thing. I would imagine it would be quite lovely. I rent cabanas regularly as well. C’mon @VMax1700take one for the team 😛😉.
  16. I definitely don’t think it’s a hard sell of the cabanas. I think its just a nice party. Hopefully the weather will cooperate.
  17. No, I meant normally on the cruises I've been on. I know people seem to think lobster is still offered. Its hasn't been for most of the cruises I've seen menus for or experienced myself since the start up unless you want to pay for it.
  18. What a strange thing for dinner on the lido menu, chicken and caramel apple. I've seen everything now. I'm a chicken fan but that in no way appeals to me.
  19. They've had the grilled shrimp and steak for years. No substitution there. I believe it used to be offered on the first gala night.
  20. While I have not been everywhere in the world I’ve found “free” internet to be very, very slow. Also I don’t want to be in port hunting for it and following crew members. I’d rather not contribute to slowing their signal. Crew members can also get internet on board for a very reasonable rate so things have changed. I’d rather just buy it and have it. Everyone is different in their needs/wants.
  21. I think you can do that as well in the mdr and club orange. I mean if it’s good enough for gala night 😛😉😀.
  22. People just love a cafeteria for some reason. It has zero appeal to me, especially if you are behind someone that can’t make a decision. I suspect it’s more of a speed thing. People want to eat and get out in a hurry.

  24. I’ve emailed the Mariners society. Hopefully they’ll get back to me sooner than later. @zgscldid you say that you are no longer getting the discount on the up charge items or am I just thinking that? Thanks.
  25. So you got them in the mdr? They definitely aren’t an up charge item in the pinnacle. How much would they even charge? I think I’m going to email the Mariners society because that’s super annoying to be told it doesn’t apply if it does. Thanks for the information.
