Great review! Thanks for taking the time to write it.
It's awesome to fly to Vancouver the day of the cruise to embark the ship; so easy. I'd like to see more cruises out of YVR other than Alaska.
Cheers.

The espresso is probably the cheapest of the specialty coffee drinks. Check on board to see if purchasing a coffee card is worth it. I reckon it would not be.
Cheers!

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I reckon an espresso might be $2. Might be best to pay-as-you-go for your daily drink.

Yes. You'll go through customs with your in-transit card and then you can head out to explore NYC if you wish.

I start to not want to cook! :)

We're on the Star over Halloween. Will they have a scary movie on MUTS that night, or on the TV? Traditionally, we always watch a scary movie at Halloween. Come to think of it, it's the only time we do. DH has a tendency to jump a lot when watching scary movies :D:o:D
I did see the film "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" in the theatre in the afternoon on Hallowe'en. As for other movies on tv or elsewhere I cannot recall.

Grand is a good ship. My choice for the amount of passengers she carries, the covered pool area, and love Alfredo's pizzeria.

I have been told there is one in the fleet, but like you I have never see it.
We've had a female Headwaiter in our section on our World Cruise segments. She was the best headwaiter! Friendly, smiling, a special person.

I've done a few Hallowe'en cruises and have brought my costume. I've always had a lot of fun - there is some sort of dance party and/or costume parade and prize for best costume.
I also decorate the door and bring candy to hand out.
Cheers.

In the Fun Zone (kids club), they should have a Hallowe'en party and/or go trick-or-treating to the various bars/venues where candy will be handed out.
Some passengers and a lot of crew dress up in costumes. And there will be a party of some kind! The venues should be decorated.
Have fun!

Thank you!
Happy Thanksgiving!

I've had some great Head Waiters and some pretty aloof ones.
I do think they should go around to all the tables in the dining room in their section and greet everyone and make sure everything is alright. On one cruise I had to ask the waiter who was our Head Waiter because he never came around.
I've seen Head Waiters stand around chatting amongst themselves in the buffet when it was particularly busy. They could have been helping out by clearing some tables (even though perhaps this isn't their job).

I don't think so; that is, we've never received anything.

Go Jays! :D I hope you will be able to see the games. I reckon if you are sailing on the Coastals, Mexico, or in the Caribbean they would be on the tv sports channel or on the screen.

There were a few on this years World Cruise on Sea Princess! They had a Mongolian buffet, several special BBQs, a pasta buffet, on the deck/Grill area.

Great! I'll have a look a bit later.
We were on the Diamond last year for three Japan cruises. Loved them!

There are still North American plugs/outlets onboard.

Agreed...Promenade Deck 7 is great for viewing. It's also good to move around; see the views on a higher deck too.

Hi.
You'll be able to add a Special Occasion in the Cruise Personaliser on the "Guest Check In" tab - it's then on the bottom of that page.
Congrats on 20 years!
Cheers.

You might need a notarized permission letter to travel with your grandson (airport, customs, etc.).
