If you want a preview, take look at this video, it shows the whole process of boarding in YC at Terminal C...

Don't let anyone take your luggage before you get to the white YC tents as they will get special tags applied there to ensure rapid delivery.

We made the mistake of giving our luggage to the regular porters at the Miami port on our first YC cruise on the Meraviglia.  The luggage showed up in the late afternoon. Lesson learned. YC is the only was to cruise on MSC.

In over 60 Princess cruises I have NEVER had a cabin with tea/coffee making kettles.Perhaps the Suites do have them

I do have a question about the new policies. In the past we have always ordered coffee every morning from room service and there was never a charge( other than the nice tip we give to the delivery person). We have the plus package. Will we be charged every day for coffee delivery under the new policy?

We had a tea/coffee making kettle in our mini-suite on the Sky Princess November 25th. Maybe because the ship had just arrived from overseas? First one I have ever seen in North America.  As for the Plus Package, free room service delivery is included. We really enjoyed being able to order a drink with the Medallion app and have it delivered to the cabin at no charge. We always tipped the room service attendant.

If someone is a casino player, they have other options than cruising to gamble.

Most people don't have the option to not fly somewhere.

With that said,  I'm not a smoker and would prefer smoke free too, but cruise lines know most gamblers smoke.

I agree, the cruise lines tried years ago and it cost them $$$$$. Most land restaurants don’t allow smoking anymore and they are still in business.

If you, or anyone OB, gets a chance, would you please ask JP why PCL is still a smoking casino???

Health conscious companies have no smoking casinos for guests and employees.

Is it the money?  Because, many of us avoid the casino because of the stench and our health.

That is, if he didn’t leave already.

    TIA

We were on the Sky last week. Smoke was awful in the casino all week. I believe cruise lines tried non smoking years ago and saw their casino traffic fall a great deal. $$$$ lost. They just need to do what the airlines did and stop all smoking. Airlines are packed.

  5. Our cruise last week on the Sky Princess was wonderful. Crown Grill has always been a favorite, but was disappointed on this trip. Filets were over cooked and sides were just ok. Next night was Sabatinis, which my wife does not care for the Italian menu.  Well, after the bad experience at the Steakhouse, she had a wonderful 2 inch thick steak cooked perfectly, I had the veal and it was delicious. The Catch just out shined everything. Filets were perfect as was the lobster tail. The steak fries were outstanding! I want to try the seafood tower next time.  At $30 per person, I thought it was a bit high. But after seeing the table next to us order it for 6 people and they couldn’t finish the food, it was a good deal. Come hungry.

Looking forward to getting “fresh meat” aboard.  Plenty of booze awaits your arrival. Last night DW and U had one of the best meals we have ever on any cruise (and we often cruise on luxury lines) in Catch by Rudi.  Having dined in all the alternative venues, Catch by Rudi is in its own class.  DW and I both enjoyed the Dover Sole (fileted tableside)  which was as good as a similar dish in Seabourns Thomas Keller venue.

On the downside, it looks like tonight’s highlight in the MDRs is meatloaf.  Have to take the bitter with the sweet 🤮

It's a bit pointless for us. We just got off a 63 day "cruise" that was actually 6 separate segments. That means we could each have had 2 pre fixe meals on each segment. 12 meals each. We had one. It's too damn much food for us. We went to Alfredo's and they didn't want to let us just share a pizza and let it go at that. They wanted us to each have an appetizer, a pizza, and a dessert. What a stupid freaking system. I'm hoping it was just the idiots on our ship but that's how they insisted we do it. We ate the appetizer (meh...) and each ate part of our separate pizza. We walked out without dessert and they seemed offended. Splitting one pizza is all we need. We had the same issue in Vines so didn't eat our "included" meals there either. Just let us have the much smaller amount of food that suits us.

  8. 9 Princess cruises, we have had an Owners Suite, Full Suite, Club Class/Reserve, Mini Suites and an inside cabin. 3 MSC cruises in the Yacht Club. I would choose the Yacht Club every time. Food is better, service is better, drinks are better. Yacht Club deck area is like the Sanctuary, but with a pool and good food and bar service.

We just got off the Sky Princess last Saturday and had a good time. We had a mini suite, E726. We also had the Premier package. One thing I don’t like is the MDR is not open for lunch on port days. Buffet is subpar at best, Slice and hamburgers by the pool are ok, and Alfredo’s is great but after the third day it gets old.

  9. We just got off the Sky Princess yesterday. When we came down to deck 7, Promenade, at the aft stairs, as soon as you made the turn past the starboard doors to the smoking deck, the smell near the Vista lounge was nasty! I hope folks in the cabins above were not affected. If you went to the aft of the ship on deck 17, same, nasty. The casino was also over powered with smoke. One day, the cruise lines will do as the airlines, no smoking. Yep, airlines are full.

  10. Sorry, I am looking at the room service menu and all they show is Coke, Diet Coke, Seagram’s Ginger Ale, Gosling’s Ginger Beer, Natural Spring Water, Red Bull, San Pellegrino, Sprite and tonic water. Not sure if the bars carry more choices.

  11. Currently on the Sky.  Last night in the Catch, they offered “frizzled” onions with the steak entre.  Basically fried onion straws.  We asked for a side order to share with our meal.  They were wonderful. Last year on the Enchanted, wife asked for onion rings in Reserve Class and they were able to serve her onion rings, frozen type but good.

  12. We are currently on the Sky Princess. Yesterday in San Juan, we did a Segway tour of Old San Juan. You will see a lot in two hours and it is a lot of fun. You can book directly on the website. Jose is the owner and guide. We learned a great deal about the history of San Juan. The office is a 10 minute walk from Pier 4.
