  1. Totally agree on this. We thought the dinner at the Le Petit was disappointing. The animation was cute but would not do it again.
  2. This statement is not always correct. Read my posting #56. As was said, yes a TA should handle everything for you. Unfortunately they do not always do that. As in virtually all aspects of the work force, not all people perform their jobs as we wish they would. Unfortunately there are TA’s out there that do not always have their clients best interest at heart. If you are fortunate enough to have one that you have total faith in, that is great. For those that have not found that TA, it makes it necessary to sometimes make that call to Celebrity Customer Service.
  3. Yes it is true that a “good reliable” travel agent is invaluable when it comes to travel arrangements. However, not all are “good” and/or “reliable”. My previous TA was very good and I could rely on him to have my best interest in mind while dealing with cruise lines and/or airlines. He retired. I’m using one now that had great reviews but hasn’t done a good job for me. Contacting him has been touch and go for one thing. I requested that he find out what it would cost to upgrade to a different level of WiFi. After not hearing from him for a while I called him. He had some excuse for the delay but did tell me that he’d spoken with Celebrity and gave me a quote. I was a little surprised by the amount of the upgrade so the next day I decided to call Celebrity myself. After an incredibly long wait, I got a quote for the same upgrade for $60 less than my TA gave me. I made the change on the phone with Celebrity. I’ll be TA shopping soon.
  4. Our aft facing balcony is plenty large enough so I actually gave this a thought to see what happens. All they can say is no. We actually sailed on the Millennium many years ago and had the same cabin. Of course that was before revolution updates and the bigger tables may very well be history.
  5. Wife and I went on April cruise and we’re disappointed in the quality of the dinner. The show itself was cute but in our opinion not really worth the cost. Just our opinion. Others have found it very good.
  6. I was on hold for 2 hours and 31 minutes to speak to someone about upgrading WiFi on a September cruise. I do not remember what day of the week it was or what time of day. As I had nothing going on at that time, I decided to let it go as long as it took. Once finally connected, had the upgrade done in 2 or 3 minutes. When the upgrade was completed I did mention to the person I was speaking to about my wait. He said that the word he got was that they are in the process of training many more people and that very soon it’s going get much better. Believe that if you will.
  7. Well, after seeing a few pictures of the furniture on the balcony, I see what you all have been saying about there not being a suitable table for dining, We had an aft balcony on Princess 2 years ago and it had a larger table where dinner fit was easy. Not so on the Millie. So we love the Buffet idea even better now. !5 day cruise and, Of course, we still plan on MDR most nights and will do the Tuscan also. Thanks all for your input.
  8. You did offer a very good, yet simple alternative and we will be trying that in October on the Millie. (like the bar close by too) Thanks again
  9. Now that sounds like something we would be very interested in trying. Thank you. Actually, we have never considered dinner in the buffet of any ship/cruise line. Not sure why, but never thought about it.
  10. OK. Thanks. So if we want dinner off of the MDR menu delivered, we call room service to place order?
  11. Thanks a lot!!! Coffee out the nose!!
  12. We recently began cruising again after many years of RVing. Since August of 2021 we have sailed twice, both times in suites and have enjoyed occasionally dining on our balcony. Our next cruise is on the Millennium in October 2022 and we will be in an aft facing "sunset" cabin. Will we be able to have dinner on our balcony or is that only for suite guests?
  13. We cruised in a Celebrity suite on Connie in April. About the 2nd day we asked our butler if it would be possible to have potato chips delivered to our cabin for when we were enjoying happy hour. We got them, not only that day but every day for the rest of the cruise. Lol. By the last day we had quite a stash of chips because they would bring so many.
  14. Yep. Got it. Thanks a bunch.
  15. Cruising in late Sep. and final payment was earlier this month. So really didn’t expect to be checking in for a while. I’ll check on the app in a couple of weeks to get the date that check in begins. Thanks to all for info
  16. Thank you terrydtx, I do now recall that it took a while after initially check in to get vac records validated on a cruise earlier in this pandemic. As I said, I heard from what I thought was a reliable source that the check in time frame might have changed but obviously, as of now, it has not.
  17. Wow! NO, I do not need any further information on checkin. Just was attempting to explain why I found it necessary to ask on CC as I had not found an answer anywhere else including the app. Sorry
  18. I did go on the app and selected checkin. All I get there is “we’re still gathering all the cruise fun. Check in is not open yet. Check back closer to your sail date for updates.” Did not see anywhere where they gave exact date.
  19. Thanks everyone. I thought it was 45 days but I had heard that it may have changed to 30.
  20. How soon pre-cruise have cruisers been able to begin check-in process lately?
  21. We will be sailing Millennium in October 2022 from San Diego to San Juan. Have cruised many times but never embarked or disembarked anywhere other than US. After disembarking ship and transfer to SJU, what additional requirements will we see? As far as security and Covid requirements?
  22. We have choice of aft facing cabin but which deck is more convenient/desirable? 9 thru 14?
