We are sailing on Freedom next year, and so are excited to read about your adventure. Thanks for sharing your experiences.

I can guarantee you are going to LOVE 1804. We had it on the Freedom and loved the view, size of the cabin, and location. It feels like you are on the bridge steering the ship. One note for those booking the rooms at the front of the ship...you must keep the curtains closed at night since the light interferes with the vision of those on the bridge when it is dark outside. No real issue since you cannot see anything at night out the windows anyways.
Thanks for sharing this info (and for the tip about keeping the curtains closed). We are even more excited to sail in this cabin!

The family Panoramic Suites are 1804 and 1854. There is no cabin 1894 on the Adventure.
We are booked in 1804 in March and are excited to try this new cabin. We typically book a cabin that has a balcony, and a huge fan of the aft, so this will be a change for us. The window view looks awesome.

$105 pp
Thanks for posting the cost. Do you have an email address that can be used to check availability?

I would say you should not be frustrated, as the perk is for those booked in the JS.
We sailed in a full suite on Ovation and there were times that the CK was full and they couldn't accommodate people who wanted to eat there for dinner.

And for the record, I will be starting a NEW review any day now - we just finished an epic 12-night cruise of the British Isles on the Brilliance of the Seas...and Hubby & I will be doing a B2B on the Allure in January - it will be his first time on a mega ship, and I can’t wait to see his reaction! Talk about resurrecting an old thread from the dead - ha ha!
If you would be so kind to post on this thread when your other review is ready, as we would love to read another one of your FABULOUS reviews. Thanks.

What do you want from a beach?
Peace and quiet away from T'erds (Towles and Herds)
Shabby chic with Lunch and drinks away from T'erds
Beach toys with T'erds
No toys with T'erds
The two you are considering are no toys with T'erds
Would you please share options that are Shabby Chic with lunch and drinks. Thanks.

We sailed on Ovation of the Seas from Hong Kong to Singapore in November 2016 and had an amazing experience. We also booked with Hong Kong Getaways and had a great day with Mandy. She was such a delight!
Enjoy your B2B. Thanks for bringing us along.

Hi there- going to be saiiing on the Ovation from February 4th for a 14 night New Zealand Cruise in an Owners Loft. Our Genie is Chris Daniel, anyone with any inputs on him?
We had a different Genie on Ovation of the Seas, and so cannot provide feedback on Chris. But can share that Ovation is an amazing ship, and we had an incredible vacation. We hope you do as well.

Can anyone share their experiences with Star Class? What do you get? Any additional experiences? What did you ask from your Royal Genie? Worth it??
We absolutely loved our Star Class experience on Ovation of the Seas. Our genie was incredible, from the moment she met us in the terminal (and rolled our luggage directly on board for us), to all of the extra special touches that she added to our cabin and sailing experience, through walking us off the ship (but luggage went out the night before) - it was truly amazing.
We pre booked all of our tours (with independent tour operators) and booked all of our specialty dining before we boarded, but once on board we had several dining changes that our genie just made happen (which was greatly appreciated).
I wouldn't say that we asked for anything extra, but our Genie seemed to be at most of the places we were checking in to make sure we were having a wonderful time.
If you have other questions, we would be happy to answer.

Have a great time on Oasis. We look forward to following along on your adventure!

And I have, oh, maybe a million questions!
Not my first time cruising - sailed on Independence of the Seas from Fort Lauderdale in 2015 (Western Caribbean - awesome trip!), but this is my first cruise from home (Australia).
Apart from issues with the "new" website, I'm curious why there's no shore excursions showing for Isle of Pines, New Caledonia? Am I just looking too early?

Independence of the Seas June 2015 - Western Caribbean
Explorer of the Seas March 2019 - South Pacific
We sailed a similar itinerary back in 2012 from Sydney. Compared to other cruises, we didn't find a lot of shore excursions for our sailing. There were more options for New Caledonia, but tours for Isle of Pines were limited.

The menu looks great for us, but not sure we would book considering the fees and the shellfish upcharge.
-
Our vote goes to Chops. We are big fans of their filets, and all of the wonderful sides.

My first RCCL cruise was on Song of Norway in May of 1988 out of San Juan, and we had a wonderful vacation. The industry has come a long way since then, and we are enjoying the ride ;p

I’ve researched, but can’t find much info. I might call RC to ask. I’m curious now.
If you call, please post what is shared. Thanks.

Overall they are very similar. On some sailings, if there are a lot of diamonds the lounge will get very crowded and there is an overflow area.
-
We hope someone comes back after the May transition to report on the experience. My husband and I are booked in 1804 on Freedom of the Seas in March 2019.

Yes, we are sailing in June after the change. Wasn’t sure if anyone knew what that includes.
We have 1804 booked, which is the same room type, and are also interested in any additional information that can be shared.

We used Uber this last November and both times the driver arrived within five minutes of our confirmation.

We were on Radiance last month and we're able to get a couple of bottles each evening.

Looking for reputable agencies for excursions outside the ship in New Zealand and Australia. Your help would be appreciated. Leaving January 13, 2018...
We sailed on Radiance to NZ last month and was surprised to see tour options at the tender dock in Akaroa and where the shuttle bus dropped us at the Bay of Islands, which has not been our typical experience.
We booked our tour in Dunedin in advance with Viator tours.

We just returned from a cruise to New Zealand from Sydney on Royal Caribbean's Radiance of the Seas and used USD for our extra cash tips on the cruise ship.
This is the first trip where we did not exchange USD for any foreign currency, as we prepaid all of our tours in advance (and points for our Sydney hotel) and did just fine with using our credit card (with no foreign conversion fee).
The only time we had an issue was at a local outdoor farmer's market if a vendor would not take a credit card.
Was happy not to take the hit on the exchange, both in buying and then selling. We felt our credit card company did a great job on the exchange rate.
Have a fantastic vacation.

We just disembarked this week at the OPT, on Radiance of the Seas, and pre-booked our transportation which worked perfectly for our 11:50am international flight. We requested the first bag tag number and got lucky to receive #2. We were off the ship quite quickly, with our transport waiting, and got to the airport in the expected timeframe.
St. Maarten: Snorkeling

This was my thought as soon as I read the Subject Line.
We have cruised here several times before, and have also sailed a few times on a catamaran for a week and there really weren’t any snorkel options during any of our visits.
Hopefully some of your other ports provide better options.
