  1. I absolutely am prejudging. I have no idea what they'll even serve, but I'm a super picky eater so I'd rather be safe than sorry. The time our flights are will probably work out that we'll have had our meals before we get on the plane but I have blood sugar and hangry issues that I want to keep in check.

  2. I don't know what is funnier, that she was taking a pizza on or that you still have a pic of it lololololol!

I do know that when we got off the plane in Coz one year my husband got pulled over by the drug dog because he had beef jerky in his backpack. It was his first time out of the country and he was worried about going to Mexico anyway. It was hilarious!!! I can't remember now if we weren't allowed the jerky, or just not open jerky or what. Still makes me giggle.

  3. We leave for Europe next week and I just started thinking about food on that long flight. I can't imagine that I'd enjoy airline food. Can I pack a sandwich or something like I would if not flying to Rome? It seems like you can't leave the ship with any food but I'm having complete brain freeze on this one.

If I am able to do that (surely I can!) any suggestions?

  4. Seems there are 3 ways to see the Colosseum?

    1. Regular tour

    2. Underground/floor

    3. Belvedere higher levels

Is this correct? If so, does anyone have a preference? I can't decide if lower or higher levels are better to see.

  5. We're going on a Mediterranean cruise in October leaving from Rome. While I don't intend to run around Rome in yoga pants, I think they'd be comfy to travel in to port and the airport. I know on Caribbean cruises we see a lot of that sort of clothing, will it also be found on a Mediterranean cruise?

  6. I ended up booking Woodwind before they filled up. They're highly rated as well. We'll just have to deal with no shade. Thanks for your thoughts. I'll be sure to come back and give our review.

  7. At a lot of ports you can walk right off the ship and there are local companies that will take you on a tour that are often cheaper than the tours we see online. Is that true in Aruba or should we pre-book?

  8. I'm trying to decide between the two for our January trip. I've heard great things about both companies.

I really want to go with SC because I like the cover on the boat but I'm afraid it will be super crowded since you have to book through the cruise ship. Can anyone speak to how many people are on the tour? How much did the ship charge? Its too early to see this excursion on the NCL website and I want to make a decision soon even if I can't book yet.

  9. Thanks folks. It really helps to hear what others have done as it give me something to investigate.

No one ever says much about Grenada. I wonder if that is because not as many cruise stops there or what. I'm also concerned about the rebuilding of St Maarten. We were supposed to go there on a cruise when the hurricane hit. I've read a bit and still not sure if you can get all the way around the island or not. Sad.

    Thanks again.

  10. I need some help with these four ports (Grenada, St Lucia, Antigua, St Marteen) and the boards for some of these ports are excruciatingly slow.

How would you rank them favorite to least? Which would you skip? Favorite thing you did at the port?

We're on an 11 night cruise in January and these 4 ports I know the least about and am the least excited about. Help?

  11. This will be the 6th port in a row and I'm not sure we'll want to be on a 5 or 6 hour tour. Plus we will have snorkeled Curacao, Bonaire and Barbados before this. The mud baths and waterfall sound interesting, as does a beach lunch or something. Would there be taxis at port to do a private tour with? Something quick and easy? Any idea of a cost for something like that?
