Sorry to jump in here, we sail on the epic in feb.
I rang today to see how much it qould cost to upgrade from inside to balcony and it was over £500 ($625ish).
When do you think i should ring to try and get a better price?
The woman on the phone sounded like she didn't want us to upgrade, kept telling me I have a very good mid ship cabin.

If they were included when you booked, will we have to pay them on our upcoming cruise in feb? We drink like fish and I dont really want to be tipping 18% each time!

I'm really worried now. We are cruising in feb.
I am from the UK, have done many trips to the USA, so am well aware of the big lines to get into the country.
However will it be like this at every single port?? We clear customs gor america in orlando airport the day before the cruise.

Yeah I'm nit really bothered about using my phone much- after all were on holiday.
But I just don't want to feel totally disconnected, I will want to stay in touch with my mum.
The wifi is quite expensive isn't it!!! Think I'll just stick to nipping in bars!!

Hi
First time cruisers!!
This may sound daft but do you get mobile phone signal whilst on board? I know you can buy wifi, but heard its expensive?

Do you have to prepay if you book in advance? We want to watch cirque on the epic, would we have to pay now or once on board?

I have just jad a look, £25 for car hire and well over £100 for shuttle!! Looks like car hire is the way to go.
Glad I asked!

Haha the correct side of the road 😂😂 good luck going to battle on horses on the 'right' side of the road.
Have driven many times in the US, literally no skill to it.
We have car hire booked for after the cruise. Dont know if it would be worth it for 1 night before? Will have a look... wasn't something I thought of tbh.
Thankyou

Hi, we fly into MCO from the UK (and have done many times) but we need a transfer from there to our hotel in cocoa beach. Can any1 recommend who they use? There are 4 of us, all adults.

Yeah we got the UBP with a promo, we booked direct with NCL, so it definitely looks like its free.
The $50 credit comes with the cabana rental, not our original cruise booking. Which is why I'm wondering what people spend theres on if the UBP, bottles of water and food is incl? I'm sure we will find simething to spend it on though haha!!
Thanks for the info on the cat punkincc, I'm sure I will be ok, and your description has helped :).
Another quick question, I noticed that onboard the ship, bottled water isn't included in the UBP, how much is it per bottle? And is there drinkable tap water?

We are a bit confused by the $50 credit, as we have the UBP and thats included in the island isnt it? Also food is included? So what would the $50 be spendable on?

Theres 4 of us, so i think the cabana will ne worth it for us.
Haha thats my fear loads of people having to drag me back up!!
Would it be easy enough to get out ti the shipwreck that os part of the exc?
I have also asked on the island specific boards.

Thankyou so much. I looked uo that beach, and it is exactly what we are looking for! I have also posted in the st thomas forum, i was planning on doing a NCL exc to swim with the turtles and then go to honeymoon beach. Would I be able ti arrange that, at the port- or am I best booking with NCL?

Hi
Has anyone ever done this exc? if so how easy/hard is it to get back onto the power cat from the sea? I'm quite weak in my upper body (not for any reason other than I am lol)
Thanks

Hi
We are docking in tortola as part of our cruise. We have never cruised before and are a bit nervous.
We were going to do all our exc with NCL, however we decided in tortola we would do it once we are off this ship, with an outside vendor.
We did want to do the virgin baths, but after researching them, they don't really seem our cup of tea.
Me and my husband are very interested in snorkelling so would maybe like an easy to get to beach with snorkelling off the shore? We are also going with my dad and his wife and they are happy to go along with us.
So could you all give us some idea's and then I will research them all. Also are taxis easy to get/ cheap?
We seem to only have half a day, docking at 7am and leaving at 2pm (what time would we need to be back on the ship?)
Thankyou :)

Hi.
I have a few questions about excursions.
We are booking some with the cruise line, and going to tey booking one in tortola once off the ship (first time cruisers so nervous)
Anhow im wondeing has anyone done the powercat and snorkle trip in st thomas? Is it hard to get back on the boat? I have very poor upper body strength for no reason other than I'm weak lol. And im worrying about getting back on the boat?
Also is it worth hiring a cabana on great stirrup cay? We have the UBP, but it says we get a $50 credit towards food and drink? Surely its all incl if its norweigans private island?
Thankyou :)

Haha we most definitely have seprate cabins!! Sharing is not for us. We are 2 or 3 doors away from each other which is perfect. Dont mind using the loo in front of hubby so no issues for us there.
How do I actually book private tours? Is there certain websites? I have everything wrote down incl the exc we want to do and wpuld like to look at the private ones so I can compare.
-
Having looked at my booking on NCL website, it seems it is very similar to how people from the US book. I am able to book exc and pay in GPB. So i will be doing this before we go.
Also it seems it is the same for everything else with regards to booking dining etc, so the advice has been perfect.
Its making me even more excited :)

These responses are brilliant and I am so glad I asked the questions and theres things I honestly had no clue about (such as booking dinner and shows!)
So if i book tables in the paid restaurants, am I charged a booking fee now, or just pay it all ince in the ship?
If I'm honest it is all whizzing around my head haha! Having never done a cruise, I just cant wait too see how they fit a cirque show onto a ship!!
Sorry I did forget to post about our party... there will be 4 of us. Me and my husband and my dad and his wife. We are going for my dad's 50th birthday! His birthday is actually on February 7th but due to school holidays (we are from the UK) we can't leave the UK until the 10th feb.
The day we are in tortola, we are only there from 7am until 2pm, this doesn't seem to give us much time? What time do you have to be back in the ship if it leaves at 2pm?
Also I presume its only GSC where everything is complementary during the day?
Again thankyou so much for your replies, I know my questions may seem silly, but its all so new! I'm used to disneyworld holidays or all inclusive resorts!!
