  1. I said NOTHING about whether it was an issue or not. I simply stated that I didn't think it was against the rules. You might want to try reading my post again.
  2. I didn't think it was against the rules for children to be in bars or on dance floors.
  3. So you don't like what they are doing, but you might continue to book with them? 🤔
  4. I also agree. The land portion was perhaps better than the cruise portion, in my opinion.
  5. Agreed. Nothing beats sitting on your own balcony, watching glaciers and wildlife go by.
  6. Princess (and a few others) has the one must do stop: Glacier Bay National Park. RCCL does not go there.
  7. I recently stayed at a Doubletree (a Hilton brand), and at a Hilton, and they had service every day, without asking.
  8. Go on Princess. They are amazing when it comes to Alaska. As has been pointed out, they go to Glacier Bay National Park. Royal Caribbean does not. Glacier Bay is not to be missed. They also bring experts including National Park Rangers on board to give informative talks on what you are seeing outside the ship. And their lodges are amazing.
  9. Excellent post. Same could be said for the comparisons to a land-based hotel. To borrow what you stated, when I am on a cruise, I am not in a land-based hotel.
  10. Incorrect. Smoking is allowed on balconies of some other cruise lines, which is what the OP asked about.
  11. Have you contacted Cruise Critic directly with your suggestion? There's a "Contact Us" link at the bottom of the page. For the record, I agree with your suggestion.
  12. Really no need to. There's so many weather resources available now.
  13. I would be fine taking it, but I would put it out of view while not in the room. It only takes 5 seconds or so.
  14. Isn't James van Fleet the one that caused all the problems with Hurricane Harvey in Galveston?
  15. When comparing the two cruise lines, another fact that relates directly to this thread is that Princess can cruise to Glacier Bay National Park whereas Royal Caribbean cannot.
