There was an excursion out of St. Thomas that took us out to a isolated island. It had the softest white sand I have ever seen and felt. Unfortunately I don't know the name of that location. I will update my post if I can find it.

If you arrive during your check-in time and have completed all your forms and there are no delays for Diamond, Platinum, or FTTF priority boarders you should be able to board quickly, I would say approx. 30 minutes or less.

I like to pay beforehand so I don't have to worry about it at the end. It is really a personal preference.

Depends if they are mature enough. I know kids that are 10 who I would trust as an adult and I know adults who are 30 that I would not trust because they would look for trouble.

To me if it up to you if you want to make it special. I always try to be positive and have fun.

If you look up that excursion on Carnival's web site after logging into your account you can read many reviews from other guests. I remember reading that you have to choice to stay with the guide or go off on your own. I know one of the advantages is they take you to the front of the line since you are on a tight schedule. A con is that you might not be interested in that attraction.

Camera phones have gotten much better over the years but I still use point and click ones for my vacation. The quality is been much better from my comparisons.
