My 3 girls and my wife didn't enjoy it very much. Long bus ride and they kind of rushed us when we got their. Plus they don't let you climb the pyramids/temples any longer, not even the first step like they did in the past to take pictures. But again, we are an active family and like to do active excursions. If you like sight seeing excursions and learning about history you might enjoy this. Spoiler alert ahead, stop reading if you don't want a spoiler. The one thing we learned was they used beans to break the rocks that is used to build the pyramids. They would drill a hole , put the beans in and seal the hole. The gas created from the beans would expand and cause the rocks to break.

We are leaving on July 1st and the earliest time slot available was 11:30.

We plan on going to Cucina since most of the other days we will be doing the buffet for lunch during sea days.

From what many people post here it seems to be random. Some say you can access it immediately, some say 180 out, some say 60 days out, some say different. For me it was about 170 days out.

Everyone is different. What works for one family might not work for another family. If you eat at the same time daily you might want to pick early or late dining. If you eat at different times daily then Anything Dining might work better for you.

Some of the best excursions I have been on are the private ones I have found on Tripadvisor. I do a combination of on the ship and off the ship private excursions. Really depends on what port/location has to offer. Their are pros and cons of each, just need to do your research before booking any one of them.

Thanks everyone for their comments. I am on the fence on booking the steak house for my father's 70 birthday for a group of 11. It's hard to justify paying for a meal when a meal is already provided for free in the MDR.

I'm hoping this turns out to be a positive thing for Carnival. Sometimes getting a negative review shows what needs to be done in the future. If Carnival and staff never got caught they would of continued as is with their poor practices.

Not happy about this one bit. This is one of the perks I have enjoyed in the past with my family. BTW, we tipped and NEVER ordered food that we couldn't eat.

Odds and payouts are worse on cruise ships, i.e. Black Jack in Vegas pays 3 for 2 where as on the cruise it paid 6 for 5 dollar bet.

I can't imagine what I am doing wrong. I have cleared my cache and used incognito mode and there are still no carnival ecards available on either AARP or Allstate. Have not been available since Sunday when I bought 2 cards.

I am running out of time to get 8 more by Friday. [emoji30]
