Since April , we have had three cruises by Royal cancelled on us, because of Covid . We had traveled by air for "two" of them, to find out after arrival in destination she was positive . Three weeks ago, we found out on third cruise, before debarking , I had tested positive . And in three weeks , we have overseas travel with a TA and b2b . We are both negative now . But both of us have tested positive TWICE in this time frame since April . Hell Yes we are stressed about traveling, to find out either of us could test positive AGAIN before cruises . She is NOT eligible for Certificate but I am . Time will tell . We will either sail back on TA, or have a free roam European get away .

One may take Uber , but only to front gate of cruise terminals and not past Harborside St . Lyft and most others can enter gates and proceed to drop off at terminals doors for bags and passengers . Uber by choice will not pay access fees to port lot and terminals through gate.

Royal Caribbean Updated Guidance for Cruises Departing the U.S. We are currently developing updated protocols that provide for the continued safety of our guests, crew, and the communities we visit, better align with the travel and hospitality sector, and meet destination regulations. This means we’re transitioning to the point where everyone will be able to vacation with us. Starting with August 8, 2022 departures, our protocols will include: • Requiring testing for unvaccinated guests on all sailings, and for vaccinated guests on sailings that are six nights or longer. • Maintaining a high percentage of fully vaccinated guests onboard all our sailings, far above the general population. • All crew will continue to be fully vaccinated and boosted when eligible, and tested regularly. Details on the above protocols, as well as any other guidelines for your vacation, will be provided to booked guests the week of August 1, 2022. Current protocols remain in place for any cruises departing before August 8. See current protocols. -

We are on cruise , and asked around for same reasons. I've heard mixed comments ! Best to have for something (?) and next to nothing for benefit on board . But no detail other than "maybe" an hour champagne party. No biggie . And I'm aware of the $100 OBC for a booking . -
She is wonderful

All the beaches and water will have seaweed if one does . Mother Nature has mind of her own . It’s hit and miss on any seaweed . It’s a natural phenomena and can be educational and entertaining to kids . Unless someone tells them it’s nasty .

When you get off ship walk around mall . Take a yellow cab from behind mall for short ride 8 bucks to Old town Fishing village Majahual . There is beach obviously with many facilities to stop at . No fees to get on one long beach. Good food and service on all beach facilities, and most have good clean restrooms. We always go there and return later in day to mall to walk around . Bird walk in middle of mall is wonderful for adults and kids .

If you are really interested in Texas, Western and the Southwestern Experience, I suggest the following in addition to San Antonio and Ft Worth. 1. Explore the Island of Galveston first ! There is so much history , and you are already on the island. . 2. The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo is a month long annual Western heritage event, and is generally the largest FESTIVAL on the North American Continent. The Rodeo promotes agriculture by hosting an annual, family-friendly experience that educates and entertains the public, supports Texas youth, and provides year-round educational support within the community. Since its beginning in 1932, the Rodeo has committed more than $550 million to the youth of Texas and education. The Rodeo welcomed 2.4+ million guests for its 90th anniversary in 2022, with action-packed RODEOHOUSTON® competitions, more than 34,000 livestock and horse show entries, a historic $1 million steer auction purchase, a diverse lineup of star entertainers including George Strait and others, and is a family-friendly experience for everyone. The rodeo 35,000 volunteers, donors, sponsors, community partners and guests who support our charitable mission of supporting Texas youth and education are the greatest. Scholarships and Education: The Rodeo committed $22,125,250 to the youth of Texas in 2022: $14,186,000 million in scholarships awarded this summer; $5,048,250 million to junior show exhibitors; $2,418,610 million in educational program grants; and $472,390 in graduate assistantships. Rodeo Performers and Contestants: The Rodeo committed $2.14 million in Prize Money to its contestants. 3. The Bryan Museum on Galveston Island The Museum opened in 2015 and located in the historic Galveston Orphans Home[1] in Galveston, Texas, USA, houses The Bryan Collection, one of the world's largest collections of historical artifacts, documents, and artwork relating to Texas and the American West. Assembled by J.P. and Mary Jon Bryan, the collection spans more than 12,000 years, with pieces ranging from ancient Native American cultural artifacts to modern twenty-first century objects. With approximately 70,000 items in total, the collection includes 20,000 rare books; more than 30,000 documents in Spanish, German, French, and English; three dozen saddles; over 250 antique firearms; several hundred spurs; a large collection of fine Southwestern art, religious art, folk art, and portraits; exceedingly rare maps and artifacts, such as "cowboy" chaps; Native American stone tools and arrowheads; and a Spanish mission bell. The Bryan Museum presents a chronological history of Texas and the American West with a special emphasis on the Spanish influences in the region. In addition to its permanent galleries, the Museum also includes space for rotating special exhibits, a library, and an archive. 4. Space Center Houston (NASA) ( half way between Galveston island and Houston ) -
