First formal night..

I was having this same problem last week, but thank you for the information as I was just able to book our time for next July. Book the steakhouse two weeks prior.

We sailed in the Panorama on July 30th. We boarded shortly after 11a grabbed some food our two drinks and headed to our station, B4, but they were not starting until noon. Once the crew arrived we formed a line, got scanned and the person checking us in apolgized to everyone for the wait. Once he got to us he asked if we've cruised before and knew how to put a life vest. The 5 of us replied yes and off we went. It couldn't have been any easier. We definately did not watch a video this time and I can't remember if we did August of 2021 when they first started the new format.

We stay at the Marriott Biscayne Bay all the time and enjoy it there, but I believe their pool is closed for updating. As someone else mentioned the Intercontinental is also great as we have stayed there in the past.

It would be great if they brought coke products back. So much better.

We got ours off of Amazon. We have 6 small ones and as someone already said they are very strong. Another thing that has worked great is a hanging shoe rack. That has been such a help with clutter over the past 6 cruises for us.

We were off the ship by 9:15 a few weeks ago on August 6th. We could of been off sooner as we were Zone 3.

Five of us used it on our July 30th sailing in the Panorama and breezes through check in. I was skeptical but very glad we did it.

We have a limo service we've used twice. Company is reliable and rates are good.

We sailed on the Panorama on the last sailing, July 30th. We had the 10-10:30am check in. They let us into the terminal at exactly 10am. Check in maybe took 15 minutes and we sat in Captains lounge until 10:45 and were walking across the long gangway at exactly 11am. Fastest I've ever gotten on to a ship.

Just off the Panorama today and they had it on Thursday night. Headphones went quickly. I waited in line for about 15 to 20 minutes for one to be returned so I could get it for my younger daughter. There are 3 channels to select from. Great time from what my older and younger daughters told me.

Matt Mitchem! He was all over the place! Very engaging and entertaining !
Matt Mitcham was the best in my opinion, always full of energy and was great to talk to. We had the pleasure of sailing with him 5 times. The best being a New Years cruise.

Western Caribbean route tends to be a little more lively than eastern route. At least that's how I've seen it.

Just a thought on the bottomless bubbles. My daughters don't drink much soda as is, maybe as we've never allowed it and with their sports they have never gotten into the habit, but when on a cruise we do allow more leeway, plus the occasional vitamin water or whatever carnival replaced that with. If you get the CHEERS package just remember soda and all the other junk is included in that and doesn't count against you. We just have our girls track us down during the day or If they can't find us just order the soda on their SS card.

Great post! The Festivale was my second carnival cruise that my parents took me on and last family trip as my mother passed away the year after. Will always remember that ship.

We sailed on the Horizon late July last summer and had to request an exemption for my younger daughter and did not find out she was granted it until 10 days before the sailing. So it was a little nerve racking but all worked out for the best.

We've had the same PVP for a little over 20 years and she's great. I usually find the cruise and the cabins I want, but then go through her to book. She went above and beyond when my cruises were being canceled due to the shut down and helping me re-book. She always made sure OBC OBC was following us and making sure we were getting the proper credit. The most recent example was on my upcoming summer sailing on the Panorama. When booking I had $1300 OBC and was very happy with that. About an hour later she called me back and told me that she had found an additional $600 OBC under my wife's name that we had not used. She was then able to add that to my Panorama sailing giving me $1900.00 total. Needless to say, I'm very happy.

So what's the big deal about the dinner entertainment anyways, it's what Carnival does. It's fun and maybe if people don't like it, move on and sail on another line rather than complain, Carnival won't miss you.

That would be annoying to expect anyone to stand up in the MDR to sing and dance. Not why I am there and I'd be irritated if expected to do so.
Your never expected to stand up and participate but I always encourage my daughters to do so and have some fun.

We've used the same PVP for the past 20 years, she's awesome. Usually when booking we maybe spend 10 minutes or less on booking process and most of the time discussing our families.

We've used the same PVP for 21 years and she's the best. Like many who've already posted. I usually look everything up, find the cabin i want and then just reach out to her to finalize things. She'll always find us the best rate and even on our sailing this past summer on the Panorama she found some forget OBC from our COVID bookings.
Just today she took care of us for our June 2024 sailing on the Celebration. I had spoken to her over 6 months ago regarding the trip I wanted to plan for my daughters graduation and she assured me she had a note on her computer. She then called me two weeks ago to give me a heads up that bookings for the summer of 2024 would be opening soon for the Celebration and she wanted to confirm the cabins I inquired about. Sure enough, I woke up this afternoon (I work overnights) and saw that I had two cabins on hold, I also had a missed call from her. Needless to say I just finalized the trip about 2 hours ago. She's amazing.
