Better yet.... cancel that RCI card and open an account with Barclays. Get 2 points credited to travel expenses on every purchase, then a 5% bonus when you cash in. Open a Barclarys Arrival MC and get 40,000 points bonus when you charge $3000. in first 90 days. Blows the BOA RCI card out of the water.

Be very careful that you get your OBC for the discount. They claim they don't do credits till the end of the cruise. We were on Oasis in November, booked 4 restaurants. Paid full price on the internet. We fought very hard to get the credit on our account before disembarking. Never got it all, finally called RCL after returning home, and they credited our credit card.

We have been on both, and found the staff to be a little more friendly on Oasis. Also like entertainment better.

Having dined at both Giovanni's and Portifino on multiple cruises, I stand with those who loved Portifino. It is a much more quiet and relaxed dining experience than Giovanni's. More personal attention, and somewhat better food choices. More like the 150 park place experience on the Oasis Class. When on a ship with Portofino, we will dine there probably 3 times in a 7 days cruise. Giovanni's, once or twice. You will enjoy them both.

It is supposed to open 90 days before sail date, but as with many things on the RC website, it is often a mystery. :D

By the glass does not help when all the house wines are basically swill. On
Oasis, unless you buy a bottle, the only decent wine is at Vintages.
-
Have they done away with the wine packages?

We always grab one of those 4 cup jobs from Target or Walmart. Costs about 15 bucks, take your own coffee & a couple of cups. Enjoy fresh hot coffee every morning. Leave it on board when you go. Works for us.:)

Thanks so much for the info. We have done CT 3 times, and it was one of the highlights of each cruise. Last time on Oasis, Nov 14, after drydock, they were supposedly building out Wonderland. Obviously that never happened.
Previous CT on Oasis was in the Concierge Lounge. Looking forward to Nov 28 on Oasis, then next year on Harmony.
-
Does anyone know if they have resumed Chef's Table on Oasis ? Also have they opened Wonderland, or just scrapped that project too. November cruisers want to know.
-
I may be wrong, and, as my wife would point out, probably am, but I think that is the Wonderland cafe. It is where the concierge lounge used to be.
-
Anyone know what nite they hold this shindig? Already signed up, but don't know the night. Since we pre-plan our shows etc, it would be nice to have that information. Thanks:)

All of the D1 Thru D8 are standard balcony cabins, NOT JS.
-
Anyone have an update on the opening of Wonderland on Oasis ? When we were on last November it was under construction.
Have they re-instated Chef's table? Closed last November. Our favorite on Oasis.
-
I suppose its not for everyone, but we sat down front where you could really see the make up and costumes, thought it was AWESOME!

On April 30th, I checked pricing on a Harmony JS for Nov 2016. With my balcony discount, & including grats, cost was $3533. Passed on that.
Just booked it this morning on the new sale, same JS cost was $2899. Considering we are on Oasis this Nov. for $2806, I am a happy cruiser.
Once you have gone JS, a balcony is a real step down. Love those tubs and walk in closets. ARG!
Paying for both with points from my Barclays MC.
Cruise FREE.. My favorite way. Looking forward to the new ship.

Anybody know what the show will be on Harmony? Have not been able to find it. Glad to see Mama Mia on Allure. The Cats show on Oasis is fabulous.

If you really want to game the system, and come out all the better for it, junk that RC visa and open a Barclays Arrival Plus card. Gives 2 points for all purchases, 10% points back when you redeem and 40,000 points for sign up after 3000 in purchases in the first 3 months. Now that is a deal!
-
Absolutely the BEST... earn 40,000 points for spending 3,000 in the first 3 mo. (thats worth $400.00) Gives you 2 points per dollar on ALL purchases, NO limits. Then when you apply points against your purchases, they credit you back 10% of the points. There is an $89 annual fee, but well worth it if you look at the rewards. I have received excellent customer service too.
I dumped my RCI visa a couple of years ago, after trying to redeem points for a free cruise, which was a very disappointing experience to say the least.
-
Dumped the RC Visa long ago... Take a look at Barclays Arrival MC. First off, 40,000 points for sign up. Then 2 points per dollar on ALL purchases. Redeem for travel purchases, just charge them on the card, then use you points to wipe out the charge, and you get a 10% refund of the points used. BEST CARD out there.
-
Alas, the RC Visa is no longer my car of choice. Not when the Barclays Arrival MC gives me 2.1 points for every dollar, every day, every place.
When you pay for travel expenses with your card, you go on their website and apply your points to your charge. No fuss, No muss, No BS You earn 2 points per dollar, then when spending, they give you 10% of your points back. The very best deal around if you are a traveler. Plus they have been giving a 40,000 mi sign up bonus. Thats worth $400. How can you go wrong.
-
Better yet... dump the RC Visa and open a Barclays Arrival Mastercard. Gives yoiu 2 points for ALL dollars spent, plus a 10% refund of points when you spend them. Adds up fast.

Just saw news blurb saying the new Oasis class will be called Harmony of the Seas. Says she will be about 7' longer, 17' WIDER, and 2418 tons heavier. You can do A LOT with 17' more width. Due out April 2016. Bring it on !

Barclays card gives 2 points for ALL purchases. Super easy to redeem on any travel expense. Also get 10% of the points used back as a bonus. Right now I think they are giving a 40,000 Pt bonus for sign up. Does have a fee, but if you charge much, its still the best deal out there.
Harmony Keel Blocks are in the House... well they're outside actually!
