Of course there is no excuse for being rude, however remember that these guys are doing the same job for six months often without a single day off and sometimes the work load just gets too much. My experience with the pool bar was there was always a line but within a minute or so I always had my beverage of choice in my hand - these guys are so effective!

I actually like that the public areas are dark. It gives the ship a nice intimate feeling. Especially the MDR is gorgeous at night.

No need to print out boarding passes when flying on Delta. You will get this at airport kiosk or check in counter and will not delay you in any way.

Is it ok to leave your chair for a quick meal in the buffet? I do not chair hog for hours but have left my towels and bag for half an hour to grab a breakfast or lunch.

I read somewhere that the complimentary bottle of sparkling wine isnt in the room when you get there and that you have to request it. Is this true?
For us it was offered by the cabin attendant when we boarded and we asked to have it when she had time. We got it the next day. I don’t remember the brand but we checked and it retails about $ 15 so not a very cheap wine. It is a french sparkling wine and I thought it was rather good.

Dont forget most Europeans have 3-4 weeks off in July/August. It’s a crazy busy time for holidays. That’s why I always go in September.

I am not a big shopper but on my last cruise all the shops on deck 5 were empty all the time. On deck 4 there was a frequently visited alcohol store.
-
Last time we cruised they were overwhelmed and we were directed to put our bags into piles ourself and to write our own luggage tag. I still tipped, being from Europe I never know when it is expected.

Hello to all of you,
Just one piece of advise: Don’t make any changes on the Celebrity website. I updated my address, and my OBC went off the booking, Celebrity now added it again. A couple of days I changed the cabin number and now my Captain’s club number is missing and I can’t add it again. Just sent email to Celebrity to add it again. Hope nothing else is missing from the booking now.

It's an amazing cocktail, had one almost every day on my cruise last November
-
On our silhouette cruise in November I would say the bar service was good. Only place we were not served tablesside was the passport bar. Especially good service in World Class Bar, Esemble Lounge and Cellar Masters.

First of all, tipping is generally not expected in Europe. USD is generally not accepted in regular stores (some tourist shops might Accept USD at a terrible Exchange rate). If I was a tour guide i would certainly prefer local currency as tipping in USD would force me to Exchange at generally high commisions.

I would say the biggest advantage is the embarkation lunch. A lovely peaceful lunch in the MDR. Also I like cabin location and the free wine. For our next cruise Concierge was cheaper than Obstructed Verandah so that was a no brained for me.

I had a life threatening health issue on the Equinox last year but in Panama. Taken back to the ship and an abundance called after 10 hours when the Panama City group had charged us $15,000.00 on VISA as a guantee of payment stilll had not transferred me to hospital The doctor and captain kept me in the infermerary until the next day and port in Costa Rica where I was taken to hospital
Six months later and a major surgery later I am feeling fine
Celebrity did a great job helping myself and my wife even paying the hotel bill, cab fare and caretaker crew while in SAN Jose for Joni while I was in hospital
I am externally grateful
Ps I did not have any Celebrity insurance.
Am I reading this correctly that the hospital would not help you due to a missing payment. That’s so disgusting to hear.

I have tried the water and I found it to have no taste at all, however I can imagine it can vary. Of course if the water taste bad I would also try to get water from other sources. My point is that people think bottle water is something special, while in reality it’s just municipal water which is often less pure than regular tap water due to the bottling process.I agree that it's not particularly environmentally friendly, which I'm sure is the point you are making. No one would argue with you there. But the tap water on the ship does have a very unpleasant taste so I don't blame people for choosing to drink bottled water whilst onboard.
-
There is all the water you could possibly drink for free in the tap. If you prefer foreign tap water wrapped in plastic, it is available for $ 6 I believe in the stateroom.

On my two silhouette cruises I must say there has been less noise in the room than on any hotel I have stayed at.

Take the train from the airport to the central station. That’s the fastest and easiest way. The cruise terminal is right outside the central station. The trains are cheap and runs literally all the time.

The pillow menu is on the welcome on board letter from the concierge and it was easy to request a special pillow.

Yes there is Xelerate internet, however it is not as fast as a land based internet connection at for instance a hotel. Last cruise we chose not to buy it and did not regret. Silhouette is a fantastic ship, with so many nice places to sit and enjoy your cruise. Love the Martini Bar, the Sky Lounge, the Ensamble Lounge, Sunset Bar, World Class Bar and the list goes on! I have sailed on two full sailings and I do not think the ship got that full on sea days. Always loungers to be found, unless you wanted to be in the Solarium, where we one day had to take loungers some feet away from eachother. The ship is large and well laid out and ready for crowds!
-
I highly doubt that a stateroom attendant would risk their job for a piece of used clothing. But of course you never know. Where was this piece last seen?
-
On our next cruise concierge class was cheaper than veranda or ocean view cabins. And because we booked on board we will get one extra perk and also more OBC. For me Concierge is worth like $200 per person per cruise. The embarkation lunch is very nice, the locations are nice, and actually we like daily snacks delivered to the room.

It covers all coffees as far as I know. It’s a lovely place.

Hello,
For my November cruise I just found that cabin 1249 opened up and I grabbed it. Hope this is a good location. Looking forward to a slightly larger balcony. Anyone with experience of this cabin?
Premium Non-Alcohol Package - Can we pay difference to add alcohol to drinks?

You can order a shot of rum, but it will cost you the same as a cocktail. Celebrity seems to charge alcoholic beverages by the alcohol price only, the mixers are for "free".
