We have the same, but the prepayed grats amount is also credited on the invoice so in the end we do not pay for the grats. Check with X if this is the case for you too.

Celebrity has risen its prices due to the inclusion of Beverage packages and other perks. If you remove the value of the Beverage packages, you will see that the average price increase is on line with other lines.

For me personally, I would prefer to be able to stay in the cabin untill disembarkation rather than having the cabin early on embarkation day. On embarkation day I can visit restaurants and enjoy the cruise, with no need to sit in the cabin, while on disembarkation day I would like to sleep as long as possible and take a good, long shower. Of course people think differently but I think kicking people out in the middle of the night is not customer friendly.

Also if you remove the daily gratuities the crew have to pool the cash they receive.

When I try to check prices with the new promotion I can't even see the prices - it just keeps loading. Does anyone have the same problem?
-
Our order confirmations also stated the classic package untill a couple of days ago. I don't know if it was updated because we called and emailed multiple times or if this is automatically done. Anyway it took 2 months to get the premium beverage package reflected on the order.
-
We also have the GO Best promotion but my booking confirmation says BEVCLINGRAT - also the order history states the classic package. I guess it is because we first booked with the GO Big promotion. I have emailed 5 times and called 3 times to get this fixed. One email reply was that someone would call me. Nobody did. The rest of the emails remain not replied to.
First time I called they said this will be corrected within a couple of days
Second time I called they said that it needs to be corrected, but the person was not able to correct - she tried to put me through - but connection failed.
Third time I called they said it will be fixed automatically some time before the cruise. It is now 6 weeks and nothing has changed.
I honestly think this is bad service. I don't want to call back as most of the people I have spoken with at Celebrity has been generally unpleasant. Regardless my problem will be fixed or not they could respond to my emails and confirm whether I have the premium beverage package.
I hope the on board experience with Celebrity will be better.

That is showing travel dates and final payment dates in 2015? Did you post the wrong screen shot?

You will be charged extra. Look here:

Tweetylori, thank you so much for your wonderful, detailed review. Makes me look even more forward to my cruise.

Those prices sounds insane. We are paying about $ 400 PP to fly from Germany to Florida in April 2017.

They have a new website coming! Please let it work this time!!!

When will it come?

I think you are talking about "go Best".
My rule #1, never ever book online with Celebrity's web site. It is abysmal, to say the least.
If booking direct, I call, and have them email a confirmation while I am still on the phone.
In your case, I think that the pre-pay gratuities is a standard question, that does not have a filter if your gratuities are included. See rule#1.
I can agree with this - also the you call after you booked online - they are unwilling or unable to help. I wish I booked my cruise by telephone.

My wife and I are on the Silhouette on the transatlantic crossing in April ending in Amsterdam. This is not only our first crossing but also our first trip to Europe in any capacity. My question is this, we get into Amsterdam on Sunday morning, and need to fly out the same day and have various options, 10:00 am, 11:00 am, 2:30pm and 5:00pm. I am really tempted to chose the 5:00 pm flight because it would afford us a little time to spend in Amsterdam but am concerned with having to tote our luggage around the city. Do any of you have any suggestions or ideas on ways for us to still have a little time to spend in Amsterdam before our flight without having to wheel our luggage everywhere with us? Thank you for your help.
Ryan
There are lockers at the central station. From the central station there is public transportation everywhere you want to go. When you are done sightseeing you just hop on any train to Schiphol - it takes about 15 minutes.
-
I also think that the website is awful. For the smallest change of your cruise you have to call. Now the price of my April cruise is totally wrong. I will give them a couple of days before I call them.

Does anyone have prices for cocktails? I usually have a few cocktails a day while on vacation but my DH has about 4 all week. I was wondering if it makes sense to add the classic package to my cruise or just pay individually. If I add it it will only be $212 for the week for both of us. HELP!
Where do you find the package for $ 212 per week for two? The normal price seems to be $ 55 per day per person. Cocktail prices seem to be between $ 7 and $ 13 generally.

So, if I have a Premium package, I'll be charged 18 percent of all the drinks I receive?
Wes
No, but if you purchase the package, you will be charged 18 % gratuities on the package value.

Thank you! I'm excited for you. Which sailing will you be on?
I will be on the April 16 sailing. My very first cruise.

Fantastic photos so far, can't wait to go myself! Thank you for the effort!

We upgraded too and ours still has the same code and the same price.... $966 with a credit to offset. I wouldn't worry too much about it.
But does your order history still state the classic package? Ours do. I could worry less, but I still think it is concerning that a huge corporation in 2016 still does have a good CRM system.

Does anyone know if it is easy to get a taxi on Sunday morning for a cruise? We are staying at Renaissance Cruise Port and cruising from Port everglades. We plan to be at the cruise terminal around 11. Is prebooking needed?

Do you have email confirmation showing Go Best? If so, make sure you print that and bring it with you. If your package doesn't have the premium denomination when you check in, go straight to Customer Service on the ship and show them proof that you indeed should be getting the premium package. And it is not only premium, depending on what you choose when you originally booked, unlimited internet should be in your reservation (the rest, grat and obc will not show in your reservation but should be visible in your cruise docs - sometimes).
No, my email confirmation does not show Go Best as we upgraded after booking. Our newest invoice does show go best, but with the classic beverage package code (BEVCLINGRAT).
I don't feel like paying a cruise where the invoice is incorrect, which one person in Celebrity already confirm, but could not change. Also I don't want to stand in line and fight for what I am paying for. I must say that while I am extremely excited about my cruise, the celebrity customer service pre cruise is the worst I have ever experienced from any travel company.

Starting to get frustrated. I emailed celebrity about my beverage package and someone called me to answer my query. She said that the beverage package is listed as classic and it should be premium, however she could not make a change and requested me to call another number to ask them to make a change in the reservation as I am entitled to the premium package. Now I just called and the agent told me that nothing will be reflected on the reservation until a couple of weeks before the cruise. I have emailed multiple times and no reply. Maybe I am just overthinking this however I am going to pay this cruise very soon and would like everything to be correct on the invoice before I pay. It does not seem to be a good way to contact celebrity. You have email which is not answerred and telephone agents that does not take the time to help you. I am not a difficult person but this is making me rather insecure about celebrity. :(

The big question is of course are they designer sleeveless t's? :)
Is it reasonable to have to vacate cabins at 7am on disembarkation?

For me, not at all. I wouldn't mind getting into my cabin at 3 PM if it means that I don't have to get out at 7. When you board the ship there are plenty of things to do. When you need to exit the ship there is nothing to do while you wait for your number, so staying in the cabin would be super!
