Looks like we will be on the ship at the same time for a while. We are booked for 6 weeks starting 11/10.
11/17 here

We will be on her again out of Venice in the summer for the last time.
Apparently she has been sold and will be leaving the fleet at the end of the summer season this year.

Apparently we are booked for 5 weeks in Nov/Dec 2018 and she is well alive and waiting for us flying the RCI flag.

So glad they are spending all that money to fix their IT systems.
I heard rumors that they stop the ship revitalization program and shift the 900Million $ to their IT Dept.. That includes the bonus/incentive payment for their new CIO for early roll-out of immature Website.

What a piece of XXX
My most recent cruise was added to my history and the points is right. My travel companion has the cruise but the points did not update. What kind of system did they come up with in this stupid upgrade?
same here:
we cruised 21 days in Feb/Mar 2018; cruise histories for me and DW are correctly posted, my points are correctly added/listed, points for DW are not.
Also all our Empress otS cruises from 1997,1999,2000 are not listed anymore in the cruise history. After 3 emails to the guestaccthelpdesk: they communicated 5 days ago: "all is solved".
Guess what- it was not and still is not solved. Today I got an email from a "digital ambassador" that even is more bizarre and suggests we do not have a common last name and we shall provide C&A numbers. We did in all the previous 4 emails - so adding to the IT-issues we now encounter additionally and severe communication problems.

Just heard that Hotel director Alcides is not anymore on Rhapsody and maybe quit his job. Any chance to get an information/confirmation about Alcides please. And who is his successor?
-
We did the Metropol at the Sheridon Hotel & Casino. Ridiculous size portion of good but not great food. Would probably go again
We had been there yesterday and the prizes are ridiculous high. Much cheaper on Jewel today :halo: and great food here

....... Not to mention, I’ve read multiple stories of artwork taking a very, very long time to be delivered.

Thanx for the "beach reports", we'll be there in 2 weeks for 3 b2b

Maybe they cannot bunker enough beer for the Aussis for a 7-day cruise?

We have been looking at available balcony cabins on the Jewel. Currently booked in 8578 a little forward from the hump.
We were concerned about the noise from the central area if we were in a “hump”, any experience with those cabins?
We just returned from Jewel. Had an owner suite deck 10 directly at centrum. We did not hear any noise from centrum activities, although the hallway doors at the hump were not closed.

If you find it so aggravating, don't look.
Every time you fly, someone sitting near you paid less than you did.
Life facts.
If you find these forums so aggravating, don't look.
I think this is an informative thread.

On this week's Jewel cruise a suite guest showed disorderly conduct when she yelled across the concierge lounge profanities for abvout 5 minutes. She stood up at the bar and asked for everybodies attention in the lounge and shouted ",,,,fuxxxxxxing captains table...." and at least 10 times "....fuxxxxing Pinnacles......".
Big drama ended in an executive officer meeting next morning with no noticable consequences: no excuses to lounge guests which have been insulted, no banning from the lounge nor any other sanction.
Is this RCCL's new version of code of conduct?

You may sum it up to the formula "The nearer the Brexit, the higher the price difference:cool:" if you know what I mean.

Serenade question: Do they also refurbish the most unfriendly hotel director Mr Ol....?

@Mrs steamboats: I must accept defeat on the Concordia / 24 hrs solas!
Anyway they should not have woken up all pax at 23:00hrs instead should have done the musterdrill during the next morning or until early afternoon when the fog lifted and we set sail
