Apparently in the post Covid world, Royal has taken away a convenience from its guests. With the Oasis class ships, you always need reservations and it was so much easier booking it pre-cruise, so that you could coordinate show and dinner reservations before your vacation and everything was done. Now you have to scramble on your embarkation day to play with their app and book all your shows when you get on... when what you should be doing is having your lunch, getting settled in your cabin and actually enjoying your vacation. Not a good move by Royal.

Can I ask what time you left the ship in order to make this train? And how long did the line take for people disembarking? With Wonder being such a large ship, wanting to gauge how much time we'll need for that process to be off as early as possible in the morning. Rome is the biggest tour day for us, so we want to maximize our time there.

Would you happen to know how long that shuttle takes? Trying to figure out how much time I need getting off the ship to catch a particular morning train to Rome

Most posters seemed focused on sales for the drink packages and perhaps rightly so 😀 However, my marketing email also mentions up to 25% off Shore Excursions for Memorial Day sale. Yet when I check on excursion prices for my Wonder of the Seas cruise in September, it doesn't appear that a single price has been lowered, at least as far as I can tell. Granted I only recorded earlier prices of the excursions I was interested in, but I don't see any difference. So this isn't really a sale after all?

Looking forward to hearing of your experience. We are booked on Wonder in September (also from a re-booked Allure cruise), on the same itinerary from Barcelona. It feels like a long way off, but very interested in what you have to say about the ship and the various ports.

I am cruising out of Barcelona in mid September. Air Canada has daily flights from Toronto still showing that month, probably because it is the tail end of the tourist season. I booked the AC direct flight about a month ago and I see the price has gone up by about 25% already.

Lots of reports show Omicron lasts far longer on surfaces than previous variants. Having multiple people all touching the same serving utensils doesn't sound like good public health, even at the best of times. Seems like Royal has decided it's up to individuals to protect themselves once they're onboard, i.e. washing their hands.

I thought the crew were still serving people in the Windjammer... is that not the case? No wonder people are catching Covid on their cruise.

But who's to say 2023 will be any better? More variants, more boosters and round and round we go. I'm hoping to risk it on Wonder this September, because I booked it when it was still at the Allure price and it seems too good to pass up. However, waiting to see how much cases rise on summer sailings before making a final decision.
