Has anyone received the final cruise vacation summary for the November Splendor TA cruise departing Athens? Regent says it is required for the French COVID pass and that it was emailed 21 days prior to cruise departure. I received the preliminary, but not the final summary.
We received our final on 10/21 from our travel agent. I would check with your agent or Regent to send you one. We still have not received our hard copy documents yet.

I'm glad that your travel agent forwarded the information along - we are now sending that same information directly to guests' moving forward. And changes to the shore excursion shopping experience will be coming next year as we strive to make our website experience as pleasant as our onboard experience!
Thank you so much for such as positive response. Improving our online experience will just make our total Regent experience even better.

I vote that Regent send me less marketing material and apply the savings to Mike's budget. 😀
I totally agree. Mike, Regent has our emails on file. My husband (who also is an IT guy) got the information from a link given to him by our travel agent. By the way, could you please do something about entering the shore excursion choices. When I entered my information for the 2022 World Cruise (for the second time mind you) I gave up and called Regent rather than trying to keep entering information online, only to have it deleted. Thanks so much. We all know you have a hard job.

We also are on the Splendor in November. The country forms are a nightmare to fill out. My husband has done two of them and it took him several days. It would be great if Regent at least gave us a template to know how to fill them out since we all will be in the same places.

Congratulations. That is one very long world cruise. We are taking our first WC in January on Regent. Since both my DH and I are leaving home for four months there is a tremendous amount to do and to pack. We all will be there to help you when you prepare for your WC of the WC's.

When we have had early shore excursions we were able to have room service before six am. We use room service as our wake up call.

Back to the original question. Does anyone know who is the captain and the cruise director on the Splendor right now?

Are they conducting any fitness classes in the morning or afternoon?

I was able to sign up for one cooking class thanks to the perseverance of my TA. We are on the Splendor in November. Regent said that classes will be small to allow for social distancing. If you are on later it may be easier. On your Regent account you should be able to press the cooking class button to see what is available on your cruise.

If you want to use your Shareholder Benefit for shore excursions, book the excursions in the usual way before the cruise. Then when you get onboard go to front desk. They will change the form of payment and credit your credit card.

Normally my husband takes a sport jacket or two. For our World Cruise he will take his tux. If he messes it up, there is always dry cleaning on the ship. I will take a couple of fancy tops, a short cocktail dress, and a long dress. This should give me some options.

The Grandeur Roll Call is up and running, but so far very few people have joined. We are booked on the Grandeur's maiden voyage as well. We are very excited, but have a number of cruises, including the 2022 world cruise to enjoy before.

Thank you Flossie for the great pictures. We will crossing the equator on our 2022 World Cruise.

When we arrive in Miami on Dec. 7 after our Splendor TA, Regent will be responsible for getting us to the airport on time and they made the flight reservation so I hope they gave us enough time.

That is really good to know. Our next two cruises are not in Penthouse. In the past Regent said that if you are not in Penthouse and booked through a TA, then you have to give the list to your TA. Our TA (we no longer use them) said they don't do that so we just told our room steward when we got on the ship. That worked just fine. Regent seems to have changed their procedure, so I will contact them prior to our next cruise. It is still nice to have the list to know what our choices are.

If you have a Penthouse suite or above, they give you a list to pick from in advance of your boarding the ship. It is on your reservation from the time you pay your deposit. Here it is:

Yes we were told this to. Been a couple of months, haven't heard anything.
You may want to check with Regent again. Sometimes it makes sense to call them again to put a bee in their bonnet! It can be as simple as they forgot to contact you and you won't see it on your reservation until a month or two before your cruise.

Mrstanley, overall were you happy with the cruise. It is somewhat unclear based on your last statement of "happy to fly back to USA".

Regent could not be clearer with that last statement. I suspect there will be warnings first, but if someone is belligerent then it is bye bye cruiser.

Another difference, when departing or going back on board instead of scanning your card they are using a facial recognition program that also takes your temperature. If it doesn’t recognize you because of sunglasses or whatever then you scan your card.
Your cruise card is shown to the port people before you enter the gangway, tender gate and tender.
Then on the ship your mask is lowered and you put your face into the oval outline. Seems to work great!
They use the same technology at our gym. It worked great. Are you wearing any kind of sensors so they can keep track of where you are and who you are near?

One of my many weaknesses on Regent - our gang has been known to fight over these little beasties. Well, not physically...well, not TOO physically...well, not to the point of being put ashore...
Let me just say, they will bring you more if you ask nicely!!

We have truly enjoyed all of the enrichment lectures we had on Regent. When we sailed on the Navigator from NYC to Iceland each lecture focused on the history of the area we would visit the following day. The entertainment, for the most part, has been wonderful. Sometimes they have a singer on for a couple of days, who gets such a positive response, that they keep them for the rest of the segment. On one cruise, they had a singer who had done a number of Broadway shows. He was great. We were lucky enough to have dinner with him and since I am a theater geek I had lots of fun picking his brain for Broadway stories.

Does anyone have a more detailed itinerary? We are curious what ports are in-between because we are on the whole world cruise. Thanks in advance.

Yes, the spa is usually an attraction for us. Since this is our first time on Regent, are there any tips? For example, on NCL, if you go to the spa when you board, they usually have specials like 10%/20%/30% for 3 services. We often will book three and save the most expensive for last! They have port day specials, too.
Or is it better to go ahead and book spa treatments as soon as they open up on line? I think that's at 60 days out. (The hedonist in me says book ASAP, but the frugal part of me says maybe I should wait!) We're splurging on this cruise, so would like to save where I can.....:)
They will definitely have special on port days as well as specials if you have multiple treatments. The tip is extra but they automatically add it to your bill. I have always been able to book spa treatments when I get onboard. Often I wait until they advertise the special I want. Since many of Regent's cruises are port intensive, and most people want to visit the spa on sea days, there are more slots available.

Have a wonderful trip. Look forward to all of your commentary. We are on the Splendor in Athens on 11/11. Tell us about the weather. We need to pack.
