  1. Last time I was at Labadee, well the only time I have been there, was in 2017 on a Celebrity cruise. The food and drinks were meh at best. We spent most of our time just hanging out on the beach and loved that. I did the zipline and based on the heavily armed soldiers holding back the locals on motor bikes at the top, no way I would even THINK about venturing off the compound. If I ever find myself there again, I will probably spend a little time on the beach, maybe take a stroll to explore and then head back to the ship.
  2. This just makes me shake my head. It was said before, Royals prices are going through the roof because people are willing to pay these prices. After taxes and fees, I paid 6 grand (total for my wife and myself) for a JR suite splurge next March 17th. That same Jr Suite Guarantee is now $5250.00 per person. The Ultimate Family Townhouse on Icon of the Seas is 80K and up for a week. I have seen it as high as $101,000. For grins, I priced it out for an Eastern sailing April of 2026 and it was 97K for 2. Wait for it......................................................................It's sold out for all of 2024 from what I understand. If I had 100K to spend for a weeklong cruise, I wouldn't be a cruise ship. I would be on my very large personal yacht. 🤨🤭😁
  3. Did not realize that. Can't wait to make the "official" visit to Fishlips fpr dinner the evening before!
  4. Yes she does!😁 We have never cruised out of PC so appreciate the parking advice. Seems the best choice is to time arrival around 9:15ish, drop off the bags, park and get a pre-cruise Bloody Mary while we build anticipation waiting to board!
  5. Thank you for the info. Very valuable. We are sailing on Wonder so assuming they always leave out of terminal 1? I'm a fan of PTZtv so I have seen that aft view many a Sunday morning. I'm not sure I want to start our vacation getting yelled at for arriving too early so I will plan on 9:30 arrival. I will also check to see what the parking is like at Grills. May just drop off the luggage at 9:00am and park at Grills until time to head back to the terminal for boarding.
  6. I love it!! I saw something about fishlips and that looks like a fun place too.
  7. What a fantastic idea!!! TY!! We are getting to PC Saturday, and I planned on doing a dry run from our hotel - about 2 miles away at the most - and having dinner a Grills. Never been to PC so I like to know the lay of the land. Yeah, I'm that guy. 😁
  8. I had mentioned earlier that my wife and I purchesed the hideaway package for our March cruise on Wonder. It will be interesting to hear first hand reports on what it turns out to be. Hopefully they finish in time and I can make a decesion to keep or cancle based on the feedback. As for the slime you guys were talking about, I live on a lake so I'm used to it. 😁 Actually we are super lucky. The end of the lake we are on has white sandy beaches and the sand extends well into the water. I too hate the slime!! 🍸
  9. If you have been cruising for 20 years as you claimed, you would know that a cruise is susceptible to a lot of different things that CAN and DO alter the itinerary. That is just a fact. If Atlantis was the number one priority for you and your family who is very ACTIVE, I would think you would have scheduled a trip directly to Atlantis. There's A LOT to do there for ACTIVE people. AND your kids could experience the water park as long as they wanted to without feeling rushed to "take it all in" in just a few hours on a cruise ship stop. But that's just me.........I know, crazy right?
  10. Not judging...well maybe I am... You joined this site 8 hours ago and have 21 posts on this subject on 2 threads...and you claimed this on the Thanksgiving thread??? "RCL is not taking the high road. Unfortunately, this will most likely be my last RCL sailing after over 20 years of sailing RCL." 20 years and you JUST joined? Hmmmmmmmmm.......
  11. Appreciate the responses. The ship leaves at 8pm and we will probably only spend 3 or so hours if we go. I just wanted to know if there were any pitfalls that I wasn't aware of. Thanks again folks!
  12. We will be on Wonder of the Seas for the March 17th - 2024 sailing. We stop at St Thomas but don't get there until 12:30pm. We are thinking about taking the water taxi to Water Island but that late arrival worries me a little. There will be 4 ships in port that day. ms Nieuw Amsterdam 2.527 passengers 20 Mar 2024 - 07:00 Disney Fantasy 3.500 passengers 20 Mar 2024 - 07:45 Norwegian Encore 4.903 passengers 20 Mar 2024 - 11:30 Wonder Of The Seas 6.370 passengers 20 Mar 2024 - 13:00 Has anyone done this with a late arrival like ours? I've seen posts where people have commented on how busy the Ferry gets, especially with that many ships in at once. I don't want to end up on youtube as a dock runner. 🙂
  13. Late 50 something husband and wife just booked it for Wonder of the Sea's - March 17th sailing. To me, 43.99 per person is worth it. And we love a DJ!! 😁 If it turns out to be a monster Vegas style pool party, looks like we can stroll to the rocks for a change of pace. Lastly, when we are done with our cruise, we can start a thread on who has better pizza...Sorento's or Hideaway beach!!🫢😆
  14. We got a BOGO for Wonder in March. Booked back in April. $77.99 a day per person. Curious if royal offer a better black Friday deal?
  15. If this is the worst thing I experience on my upcoming cruise in March??? Well, it's going to be one heck of a great cruise!! 😁
  16. I agree with Laura. This zip line is the real deal and a little sketchy getting to the top and at the top. However, it was a blast and as an adult, I would do it again in a heartbeat!
  17. So sport coats not required? That makes things much easier.
