  1. Me and DH went to Howl at the Moon 3x on Breakaway in May and loved show. There were 2 guys and a girl who rotated on piano and occasionally girl would play drums. One night they did small portion of show singing sitcom theme songs I think everyone was singing along.

  2. It sounds like things weren't communicated to passengers how disembarking works when getting off for excursions. Maybe Celebrity should have made an announcement that excursions booked via cruise line will get off ship first. I agree they over paid by booking thru cruise line and have a guarantee that excusuon will take place and that they will be returned to ship before sail away time.

It's the same when you embark ship priority goes to those who played the most suite passengers or higher loyalty groups.

  3. This is always an interesting topic for me. I don't use a blow dryer or flat iron but I do enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning made from my Keurig which is banned from ship. My small one cup Keurig takes same amount of energy as coffeemaker in cabin but I'm not allow to bring it on board. But cabins have hair dryer's and everyone is allow to bring on there personal one. But if they banned these hair appliances there would be an uproar and revolt. Go ahead and start to flame me because I would rather have my morning coffee of choice than a flat iron.

  4. I just purchased cruise next certificate' s last week on Breakaway and had a lengthy conversation with representive selling them. It was explained to me that if you book 6 months out of sailing and book a balcony or higher cabin that you can use 2 cruise next certificate s so you would get 500. off the price of cruise

  5. Just got off breakaway Sunday and had aft balcony no clock in room but not sure if there was one on phone since I moved it to a lower shelf out of the way.

Statue of Liberty is on right side when leaving port. You will pass it about 10 to 15 minutes after pulling out of port.

  6. I have been watching ship in port webcam. Last week starboard side is close to dock this week port side is next to dock. So if this pattern holds next week when I'm on Breakaway starboard will be next to dock. I have aft balcony that will mean I will have view of water. Would rather have view of island but like stated earlier it's better than my view at home.

  7. Loved, loved loved your review. I also hate the lizards I think they look like snakes with legs (I absolutely hate snakes also) I remember those fun days of sailing with teens every other thing out of their mouths is "your so embarrassing" Now thankfully mine are grow and they are my dogsitters while we are cruising. Allure is definitely on my must cruise list. But for now I'm booked on Breakaway to Bermuda leaving on mother's day.

  8. I sailed last year on Breakaway from Manhattan and decided to fly this year we are driving. We live in PA 6 hour trip we kicked around parking at port (expensive) second option was using Luxe parking service about 170.00 for week but DH wasn't comfortable with that option. Then found Hampton Inn in Ridgefield NJ for 100. A night and booked over phone and was told we could leave car for week at no extra cost. We will take cab or uber to port.

And since arriving day before we plan to site see in NY city.
