Am I correct that at the moment there are no cruises longer than seven days so they are using a seven night rotation for the time being?  Later this fall they will have some nine night and longer Cruises and then we should see some additional menus.

Equinox is currently on a 12 night cruise

Since this is about the Reflection and cabins, my parents are looking at an accessible inside cabin for a trip in Feb 2022.

Are Celebrity inside cabins bigger than NCL and Carnival?

    Thanks

The inside accessible cabins on Reflection are 245 sq ft. On NCL Breakaway they are 226 sq ft.

  3. We will be staying one night pre-cruise in March. I need a restaurant In the hotel, since I have limited mobility and won’t have a power chair until I get to the ship. Hyatt’s restaurant does really live up to the name, but at least it’s there.
We stayed at the Hyatt once before and when we checked in they gave us a room (and key) to an occupied room. We were shocked to unlock the door and walk in on someone.
So I’m thinking of staying at Riverside this time. Or do you have another suggestion?

A couple of years ago while in Skagway we wanted to ride the train, but my wife was not able to get from the gangway to the train without her scooter.  When we booked the tour, the Concierge offered to  follow us to the train and rode the scooter back to the ship. When we arrived back, there he was waiting with the scooter.  I am sure if you ask, there will be some crew happy to help you out.  Celebrity staff are great!

Great to know. I’m not in a suite, so don’t have a concierge to ask, but I will ask at guest relations or shore excursions. One thing NCL had that I really wish Celebrity would do, is an Accessibility Officer. She was available for any questions or problems and was a great help.

There is always an area before you get to security to leave your power chair, scooter, etc.  There was never a problem, I would go all the way down, park my scooter, take the key out, and down the gangway we went.   Just ask the crew where you can park when you get down to the gangway area.  Someone is always there to help.  Once you get down the gangway, there's more crew to assist.  If it was too far from the gangway to the buses, the crew would put me in a wheel chair and away we went.  Never did I have to have my husband take my scooter back to our cabin.  I hope this helps!

This is great info. Thanks so much!

  6. Does anybody know if there is a safe place to leave my power chair near the boarding area when I go ashore? I can walk short distances, so there are tours I can take that I would not bring my chair for, but to both walk from my cabin to the aft elevators and then all the way down the pier would exhaust me. If I can leave the chair near the boarding area it would be a lot more doable.

I know I can ask the special needs people, but my experience is they do not always have a lot of knowledge about how things work on the ship.

Poster lists South Louisiana as location, we sailed NCL out of New Orleans and loved it.  Booked a balcony at a good price and avoided the main pool area.

I’ve done ncl out of New Orleans and always enjoyed it, but there is only so many times you can go on the same itinerary.

my first Celebrity cruise was on the Edge in 2019 and I loved it. Especially the food!

If would help if OP specified what '(similarly priced)' means.  If you book Insides on Celebrity, that offers one set of possibilities.  If you book Suites on Celebrity, the list is completely different.  And if you only book Suites to get Luminae, any upper premium cruise line joins the list.

I usually book balcony, and I always need an accessible room.

When I had braces ten years ago, I purchased a battery powered waterpik-like device. It worked very well and had no tubes or cords. And I recall thinking it was inexpensive at the time. Great for travel. I imagine there must be rechargeable ones available by now.

There are, I have one and it does a good job (but doesn’t hold as much water).

Our first cruise was in 1997.  I still remember seeking the color of the Caribbean for the first time.  It was breathtaking and awe inspiring in the same moment.  The balcony will get far more use than previously when we finally sail.  Thanks for a post sure to bring camaraderie.

Same here. Same year and same experience. I remember thinking that the blue was too intense to be real ... but it was.  Can’t wait for March!
