  1. We have done it on the Eclipse. It was hosted in Murano. It was a unique menu with multiple courses. Each was served with a matching wine. The food was really good, and it was a fun experience -- overall, I would absolutely do it again. At the end of the dinner, they provided a picture of the dining group, as well as a signed copy of the menu. If anyone is curious, I can try to find it.

  2. Hi folks,

My wife and I are considering some sea cruises (maybe to Hawaii, or trans-Pacific) and we’re wondering how the environment is on those cruises? Without as many ports, is everything on the ship at capacity all the time?

Any experiences you have would be appreciated!

  3. Agree with you. With the packages, gratuities are included and I suspect shared and distributed among a large collection of staff. We always bring a supply of single to tip our particular server, especially if we are at a place where being served more than once.

In my conversations with bar staff, even cash tips get split amongst the entire group. I think they still appreciate the tips, but your favorite server/bartender might only be getting a cut of your cash tips.

  4. Hey folks,

I was just reading online that I could choose any specialty restaurant for dinner when using my speciality dining package (I have a 8 night for a 14 night cruise). Is this true? Last year, on my first celebrity cruise, we were steered to using our dining package in specific venues.

We would be aiming for 2 nights each in Tuscan and Qsine, and 4 in Murano — if possible.

    Thanks for any insight!

  5. Hi folks. My new wife and I are going to be departing on the Equinox in just a few days for a honeymoon cruise. We have both done cruises as children, but not adults.

We had a question about how our luggage gets to our room. Our understanding is that we will check the bags before we board the ship, and then they will be delivered to our room sometime later. We were wondering how long it takes for the bags to reach our room (by dinner, for example?). I have a friend who said the bags may not be delivered until very late, but their experience was only with Carnival.

If anyone has any idea on how long it normally takes to receive luggage, it would be much appreciated if you could share.

    Thanks!
