    THANK you so much for the fantastic update & pics. Looks like an excellent  start to a great cruise. Can't wait until my cruise in August.  Do you know anything about the beverage package upgrade that includes water & specialty coffee?

    Loving your review. My daughter and I went on this cruise last month. We had an incredible time. I look forward to reading more. We loved Roberto the cruise director and the entertainment was fantastic. Loved hanging out at night at Syd’s.

    Norwegian Breakaway Aug 2018

    I LOVED Rock of Ages. I saw it on Broadway and saw it on the Breakaway 4 years ago. Going on the Breakaway in June and super excited to see it again. I love 80’s rock and I’m in my 40’s so it’s music I grew up with so maybe that makes a difference? We have a port side balcony. I’m sure the views will still be beautiful and I’m glad I won’t have to deal with the smoking side.

    Thank you so very much for your time and efforts in getting the word out. Wife, two grand-daughters and myself are on the 25 June - 4 July cruise and we had so many questions and you hit the nail on the head. We are very glad you had a good time.

     

     

     

    Lpops, I’m on the same cruise as you with my 26 year old daughter. We booked all NCL excursions. Spending a night at the Marriott before and after the cruise. We are from Texas.

    That’s great! The train to Berlin sounds like it was a good way to go. Did you like the entertainment on the ship? NCL usually has really good performers.

    JenJohnCourt - If you do an NCL excursion to Berlin, they have an entire train rented; so, we did the train. Only 1 stop on the way in to Berlin to let some people off who were seeing the concentration camp, and no stops on the way back. They provided some snacks and drinks both ways. It was a good experience. Have fun on your cruise. The balcony is so nice to see the ports and things. I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

    Thank you so much for the awesome review. My daughter and I are going on the Breakaway in June. We are doing all NCL excursions as well. We decided on doing the castle tour in Germany instead of going all the way to Berlin. On your Berlin tour did you ride the train or did you get there by bus?

    I’ve been on the Breakaway before in an inside cabin and it was super tiny. We bid on a balcony this time and got the upgrade. Very excited about having more room.

    Disembarking in a different port

    My daughter had to get off the Gem early because something came up unexpectedly. We went to the front desk and explained the situation and she was able to get off the ship in Port Canaveral. She did have to pay a penalty of about $200 if I remember correctly because of the Jones Act. I stayed on the ship for the rest of the cruise by myself.
