My signature line states how I feel about the C&A program.
The Crown & Anchor Society,
is a rewards program!!
it will never change your status in life.

Don't go to Southport, this is a strip mall with restaurants, grocery store etc. Galleria is you best bet for clothes. Macy's also has a luggage section as well.
Sent from my iPhone using Forums
Thanks for correcting that, I guess google isn't always your friend

Looks like the Southport shopping Mall is the closest to the port.

I would look into a car/van service, would eliminate time with rental
pick-up/return.
And definitely self assist walk off with luggage, its about
a three hour drive approx. 200 miles.

none? so not even your current status?
You will receive all of your current level offers,
you won't receive the new level offers until
your next cruise.

And another Park N Go fan, for the reasons posted above.

The Oasis, is very stable any cabin location is good,
but midship is always a sure bet for those who have
Motion sickness.
We have sailed twice on Oasis in a CLS (17th floor aft)
and never noticed any movement.
Deck 15 & 16 are the pool/sport decks.
-
We are also on the Oasis, had a delay of approximately 2 hours, our stay was extended to make up the time lost.
other then the delayed start all was normal on the island.

Actually, I'm pretty sure the 11 points thing is not true since the kids were not on the first cruise. Once they turn 18, the kids will only have points for the cruises they were on. They will retain whatever status the parents had but not their parent's points. If this is the only cruise the kids ever go on and their parents go on to reach Diamond, the kids will be Diamond with 7 points when they turn 18.
The above is the correct answer.

There is a master switch near the door of your cabin, have your cabin attendant
show you which one it is, if you turn it off the a/c will also go off.

The reason some of the muster stations are inside is to avoid over crowding
and confusion on the lifeboat deck.
In an actual emergency after you arrive at your muster station and are
accounted for the crew will then escort you to your life boat.

Ok, what is it you want to discuss about the Jones act, and Celebrity cruises ?

I've always booked directly with C&A, have never been transferred ...however I now call the D+desk...but before that who ever answered the phone would make the new bookings.
I second what Ashland, wrote I have never had a problem.

I believe it is possible, only thing to add to what everyone else has said,
it is a very straight forward drive, but if you are not totally familiar with
the route, I would recommend bringing a GPS unit.
We usually drive from Bonita Springs day of without any issues, but we are also
a couple hours closer then Tampa.

We are staying in NYC for a few days before our cruise in July.
I am looking for the best way of making the trip for a family of 4......
All suggestions gratefully received..........
Do Royal run transportation? Is a rental car best and if so which rental company is closest to the port?
Thanks for any help you can provide. We are travelling from UK.
New York to Baltimore is approx. 200 miles and will take about 4 hours,
most of the rental car's are returned to the airport which is about 30-45 mins from the port.
Avis does have a rental office at the Baltimore Harbor Hotel, in downtown Baltimore.
If you plan on driving you may want to look into arriving the day before the cruise,
and stay in a nearby hotel, and take a shuttle or taxi to the port

Some people need to be reminded that:
It is a level in the "Crown & Anchor Society"
Not a status in life.
The C&A is just another rewards program that
anyone who sails on a RCL ship is eligible for,
and as any other rewards program, the more you
participate the more your rewarded, it will never
change your status in life.

I am taking my son on his first cruise with rccl. I know he gets the same status level as me, but does he get that on this cruise or will he get that on the next cruise? On our documents he has and C&A number. Would like to use the buy one get one photo 1/2 off photo coupons.
Contact Crown & Anchor 8005269723,
they can answer your question and make sure he is same status as you.

We have stayed at both of the Sheraton's
Sheraton Old San Juan & Sheraton Convention Center both were nice good price and convenient to attractions and the pier.

I have seen many people who rent a scooter that just haven't any
business being on one in the first place.
If you are not an experienced scooter/motorcycle operator
stay off one.
Factor in the terrain, driving opposite side your used to and no real skills
your just looking for trouble

Royals new Suite program has the possibility of creating some pretty unhappy cruisers. They have now introduced “priority lines” at signature activities and this has already caused some people to get really upset because it basically allows the priority guest(s) to monopolize an activity if they want to do so. While this won’t affect many who cruise it could have the possibility of ruining an experience for those who enjoy an activity onboard and are happy to wait their turn in line with the masses. If a guest that is not in a certain suite class has to wait in line for over 30 minutes and a priority guest gets to use the same activity 3 or 4 times while they wait it will create some very unpleasant people. I’m having a real problem trying to support a company that is basically promoting poor etiquette amongst cruisers. Hopefully I am not alone on this.
The original post above spoke to RCL promoting
"poor etiquette among cruisers"
I see it differently, RCL has added perks to those who pay the price of a suite.
If a particular guest takes an unfair advantage of the program/perk that is hardly RCL promoting poor etiquette,
I would imagine that guest may be this way in all parts of his/her life.
If what has been posted is true, this is an issue with one guest, not with the suite program.

Just received a Pre Cruise satistfaction survey by e-mail. I have been on 21 Celebrity cruises and I think this is the first time I have ever received this.
Anyone else get it?
I just received the survey, completed it in less then 3 mins.
First time for me also.

I haven't been on a cruise in a few years and I am planning one for January of 2017.
I would like to go on an Oasis class ship.
When is the best time to book for the best price? Are price adjustments still available?
Does anyone have any advice to give me for planning? I need to know everything from room selection and nice quiet spots to what restaurants are best to try!
Sher
Best price is usually the earlier you book the better, they do price guarantee and price drops are honored before final payment.
If you are a member of the Crown & Anchor program you may qualify for a discount depending on what level you are. The Oasis class has several different (pay) restaurants. Check the RCL website to see if they are to your taste.
Room selection depends a lot on budget, and personal preference, make sure your receiving emails from RCL to see the latest promo.
