Nails done, packing done, and all ready to go! I figure we will head to the pier for a little happy hour and pre-cruise beverages. It’s super windy out! Winter is back! 🥶🥶 (Ok that’s a little exaggeration but my blood has thinned out since moving here 30 years ago).

I plan on it if the weather is good. If not we will still check out the bar. Also, I must check out the suite areas to see how they compare to NCL Haven areas. Inquiring minds may want to know! 😎

Right. Makes sense. LAX would not close down due to a 4.8 but all structures out here have to be built to withstand earthquakes. Not so back east, especially with older buildings.

Royal shuts down the ability to book anything two days before you cruise. You will be able to book onboard but the prices may not be discounted. Keep that in mind if you are waiting for prices to drop before booking dining, drinks or excursions.

We are having more cold RAIN here in Hermosa Beach, CA! Ugh. Glad I didn’t have to drive to work today. Our weather has been more east-coast like not the usual SoCal sunny warm weather we are used to. It is 48 degrees F outside RN not the usual 65-70 degrees. Crazy. Can’t wait for the warm Galveston temps!

So this just happened in my birth state! I grew up right outside of Princeton. Earthquakes are supposed to happen on CA not NJ! Did you feel it @Sailing12Away?

Awesome! How easy is it to grab Uber/Lyft? Is one better than the other? Have you been to The Founder's Bar in the Grand Galvez? We will be staying at Home2Suites in Galveston.

Ok the website and App are working again. This is one reason why (tech issues) I always add my SeaPass to my Apple Wallet AND print everything out just in case. Murphy's Law seems to follow me around. I have learned to be prepared.

I think #1 is the larger one with the outside shower. It should be nice! We did not need a large one so booked the regular size. Plus we will only be there for a few hours as part of our Bar Crawl. Love your Avatar name BTW! 😂

Which reminds me, you'd think at this day and age with AI what it is, these cruise company Apps and systems would know what type of cabin/services you have booked. I keep getting inundated with emails and pop-ups telling me to HURRY UP and book my drink package, specialty restaurants and Wifi before it is too late!! 😱 😱 Could it be a sales ploy to get the new-to-Royal pax to purchase things they don't need? I have no idea.
