  1. We pack light, one roller board and backpack which we do not give up at the Port. Easy. Too many times notices delivered to room with pictures of "lost luggage" not making it to rooms. I know everyone has their comfort zone with travelling, this is just our way
  2. Lobster thermidor is an additional charge if you have the dining package or your latitudes coupon (25.00). for Le Bistro, at least on the Bliss sailing Sept. 10th.
  3. WE used Inspire Diagnostics, recommended on NCL site. Was amazed how smoothly it went. spent many hours worrying about connections and capability. Sign in was a little confusing, ordered tests for 2, got confirm for our appointment that was for 2. But when Proctor came on, said it was only for one, she took care of that immediately. No problem
  4. Off the Bliss, Sept. 17th, Alaska Cruise. Disembarking in Seattle, we went through face recognition, nothing to do with keycard, like before. there was an Immigration Officer standing along side NCL employee. It was hit or miss if you needed to show passport, i did not, hubby did. took seconds to get through. Did not go through anything else at all.
  5. No temps taken on our cruise Sept. 10 or on our January cruise both 2022 on the Bliss
  6. If all else fails, call Support Servies, use to have their number but you can't find it, but at the NCL website, they can push the reservation through, at least they did for us last year
  7. Anyone in the last 2 weeks or so, boarded the Bliss and did you notice if they provided covid testing at the Pier? Have Inspire Diagnostics scheduled, but have concerns about making online connections, urgh. Have reached out to NCL, cannot really get an affirmative answer, just try to test, unknown how testing will be available in Seattle??
  8. Is it only the Star where they put suites in place of Spinnaker?
  9. To the best of my memory, the Pearl, Star, Gem have the Spinnaker Lounge. Sure hope it is still there.
  10. Anyone recently completed Arrrive CAN? Did you need to "download" the negative covid test? I thought just vaccination record was needed. And you showed Covid test at Pier?
  11. Just off phone. they said they go to Pier 66, every 10 minutes. Said they have a lot of Norwegian Cruise passengers due to the reports of much vandalism at the Bell Street Parking garage across the street from the Pier.
  12. Look at Seattle Cruise Park website, unless I am mistaken which I could be, states shuttle to Pier 66, (2 miles) . We will be sailing on a Saturday, coming in I5 from Oregon. Hoping traffic bearable on a Saturday morning. Not wanting to take light rail or pay for taxi from airport parking, but open to all suggestions. Will contact Seattle Cruise Park tomorrow to confirm if they shuttle to Pier 66.
  13. I have been researching, would like actual experiences. Bell Street Parking, right across from cruise terminal, was very convenient for us and family way back 14 years ago. they have certainly gotten bad reviews. Next up is Seattle Cruise Park located at 1601 Armory Way , reservations required, they shuttle you (2 miles to cruise terminal and back) very reasonable prices. Much better reviews. Hopeful recent cruisers will respond what their experience was. Did call Seattle Cruise Park today 866-644-9130, promptly transferred to a real person, asked about cancellation policy, said up to day of booking, but a $10 admin fee would be deducted.
  14. complawyer: are you saying that you did not have to show proof of the ARRIVE CAN online submission before boarding in Seattle? But given paperwork to fill out once onboard? This is contrary to everything I had read and researched, but it sure would be great, in case we have trouble downloading required information (vaccination cards) rtc.
  15. Very upsetting post. Did your friends cancel due to having tested positive 14 days prior to cruise? Have read that is covered under NCl Safe and Sail Plan, cruise credit in amount of cruise to be given back as an FCC. Is that what they tried and were denied? At what point did they call? I worry about all assurance given by NCL and not coming through. Could they try a reverse charge from their credit card company? am only looking for more information, since we have a scheduled cruise in September, and the roll of the dice in the wrong direction, we could have covid before departure. WE have travel insurance through NCL (never again) but that does not add covid protection, unless you have a physician sign off that you are unable to travel. There is some protection I see in the cancel for any reason through NCL insurance, get 75% back in a FCC with standard and 90% back in a FCC with premium coverage.
  16. Regarding ArriveCAN , have researched but know you have to provide vaccination and passport information, but did miss that you had to provide negative covid test to their system. Leaving on Alaska Cruise in Sept from Seattle, know the covid test is required to board the Ship. the ArrivCan system is not an easy one. Tried to upload before 72 hours, a no go. Covid test required 2 days before sailing (antigen) supposedly can complete ArrivCAN 72 hrs. before. urggh more confusion, will check ArriveCan again
  17. Taxi from the San Pedro Port to LAX is a fixed rate, or was in January 2022. There is a sandwich board sign right where the taxi line is. It was 59.00 at least thats what I remember
  18. Leaving from Pier 66, have any recent cruisers used Bell Street on 9 Wall Street, Seattle? If so, was making reservations necessary? Were there plenty of slots available. Have not used this place since 2008, at that time, just drove in with no space problem. Just wondering??
  19. Bird Travels; when you needed to submit claims, who did you call?? NCL? or the "insurance company" that services NCL which ChillyW above mentioned AON? 800-722-5672?
  20. Ok thanks, I see my coverage on my NCL. Just wish the actual company would see me confirmation. But guess that's not going to happen urgh. Right now just need to make sure I can to the Bar!!
  21. Booked a Cruise to Alaska, sailing on Sept. 10th. Purchased on Aug. 5th. Bought the included Travel Protection. Asked the consultant if I would receive a confirmation email from the insurance company regarding coverage. No I was told, Confirmation from NCL shows your purchase, that's all you need. Have purchased travel insurance for every cruise before independently, always received email confirm within minutes. Today Aug 10th, call the Insurance company, phone number listed on NCL website. they have no information that we have coverage from them. Said possibly could take weeks before NCL forward payment. Call consultant, ask him to find out when NCL will forward the payment to Ins. company. Said he has no access to that. hmm I think. What if I broke my leg today and could not travel, tried to file a claim?? Says NCL will then do something?? Tried to explain NCL is not the insurance agent, Berkeley is and they have no knowledge of our coverage. Basically told I was worrying about nothing. Which could be very true. So, has anybody else felt safe about travelling without a confirmation from the insurance company, with only an amount deducted for Travel Protection on your NCL Confirmation? If I had to do over, the red flag getting no email confirm, I should have declined.
  22. bortman23- many thanks for your explanation. Crazy, obviously, after Canada closed borders to cruise lines, then begrudgingly opened up, still wants them not to sail freely. Oh well, politics be darned, no sense, but it is what it is, again thanks for the info
  23. PLease do not depend on anything an "NCL Phone Line Representative" has information for. Keep checking website, hopefully more clear definitions will come forward. I have been dealing with misinformation since I booked an Alaska Cruise just on Friday August 5th. Unbelievable, but know now, at least if you are going to call in for information, do it no less than 3 times, to try to get 2 same answers. sorry rambling, but do not depend on any phone call information!
  24. When I google Canada Covid Testing- the first Covid Canada feed that comes up, which on top says Government of Canada. the first paragraph states "Pre entry tests are not required for fully vaccinated travelers entering Canada by land, air or water". I could not see a date for this information. Very confusing. Have seen on other Canada websites the opposite, unknow date of information, but still requiring testing. So confused
