I like it cold too. My only complain at Icon last week was how warm it was in all common areas. I was sweating in the promenade every night. Uncomfortably hot.

Showband was was available on night 5 on Icon last week. Reservations were not available or required. It was at 7pm and our dinner at 8pm. My family wanted to stay in the pool deck a little longer, so we missed it. Having said that, we loved all the other shows. Get to Oz early. Packed house every show.

Just returned from Icon last night (Family Infinity 11712). Best cabin we have ever had. Big enough for a family of 5 (16,16, 11). Very spacious. Loved the split bathroom. Mattress was great. Three TV’s. Room was super dark in the morning with both blinds closed. But if you are looking to be in an outside balcony while others are inside with AC, this won’t work. I like the room cold and my kids wanted the window opened.

I have constant lower back pain. During 7 nights at Icon I had none. Slept in my bed last night and woke up with pain again. I guess I need a new mattress. Anybody knows the mattress brand that RCI is using at Icon?

Going on Icon this weekend. Traveling with a couple that is celebrating their wedding anniversary and it’s their first cruise. Can the MDR arrange for a cake with happy anniversary on it? How do I request? Just tell the head waiter on night 1? Thanks!

Adults do the same. They also pee on the hot tub, vomit on the hall way, hold pool chairs at 7am, don’t know black jack etiquette, sit on the aisle when the entire row is open, smoke in non designated areas, etc etc. I’ll take a sweet precious child dirty hands over an adults any day. lol

I agree with you about getting served the ice cream. I’m just a little sensitive about so many complaints about kids on this board (not you). In my cruising experience, most times I’ve been annoyed by passenger behavior, it has been adult behavior.

Stop crying about kids in cruises. For every time I see a kid doing something stupid, I see adults doing 10 things much worse. Don’t want to see kids, take a river cruise.

We are visiting Roatan, Costa Maya, Cozumel and Coco Cay on Icon. We are basically beach people that just like to hang out at the beach during port days. We are thinking to stay on the ship one day and enjoy the boat while everybody is on port. Is Costa Maya the port to do this or will we miss out on some great beaches?

Not worth it unless you are borderline alcoholic. lol. i love to drink, but never get it. I pay as a go and always do better that way. I do bring two bottles of wine with me.

It should be free. Just require reservations to prevent long lines.

Agree 100%. I enjoy drinking, but I’ll take a cruise full of kids having fun to one full of obnoxious drunks.
