  1. So we (2 adults/2kids) have the typical situation of a late afternoon (4:30pm) flight after disembarking the Carnival Victory in March 2019 in Miami. I've been exploring the options of things to do instead of a long day waiting at MIA, and think that the "store our stuff at Luggage Lounge and go visit the beach" route might be a fun way to kill about 4 or so hours before Ubering to the airport. My question is this: After visiting the beach & all that entails (sand, sunscreen, sweat), are there facilities available to get cleaned up & changed into our "flying home" clothes? From my research, I've found that there are public restrooms with showers scattered along Ocean Drive, but am wondering if anyone has had first-hand experience with them?  I realize that a day room would be a great option for this, but I've weighed the cost vs. our actual time post-cruise, and think that this would be money better spent elsewhere.(i.e. it would be about a hundred dollar shower..lol) Thanks for any tips that you can share!

  2. I am not being mean.

When you have been on this forum longer, you will learn that there are posters on this forum that are post "whores" that will do anything to boost their post count.

Many times their posts will consist of inaccurate information or it is obvious that no attempt was made to read the thread before jumping in.

At least, in this case, we didn't get the outdated information that ALL women change their name when married to be the maiden name as a middle name and her partner's name as the last name.

  3. We stayed in cove balcony 2306 on the Vista & it was great. This particular cabin has no lifeboat above it, so it was a clear view to the sky. We used the balcony often during the cruise, and would have no reservations booking this cabin again. (in fact, I did..on the Panorama for 2020..lol)

  4. I loved YTD. We’d stop at the check in & say, “table for 2, and if you have something by a window, that would be awesome.” Zip zip zip, the ticket would print, and within 4-5 minutes we had walked down the hall a few feet, down the steps, presented our ticket, and were seated. I don’t really see it being any more convenient than that.

  5. Book the “Behind the Fun” tour as soon as you board. It was one of the best “excursions” I’ve ever been on. You tour everywhere except the engines, the brig, and the morgue. It’s incredible to see the nuts & bolts of the whole operation, and if you have Pepe as your tour guide, it’s an added treat.

  6. We had cove balcony 2306 on Vista, which is located right below the shore excursion desk. Loved it. No noise (except for the door slammers) and also this particular cabin has no lifeboats over it, so it offers a clear view of the sky. You do get the sea spray as others have mentioned, but it wasn’t a deal-breaker to me. It’s great being that close to the water.

  7. Exactly this. Once Carnival invites you on-board in front of literally 2000 people sitting in the lobby and you walk up to the Lido and have your choice of seats by the window and then you watch from your balcony as 3 hours later those people are still working their way onto the boat, you think, well that was a decent return on my money.

  8. I was wondering something similar. I've been whittling away at our cruise balance with gift cards, and right now I have it down to $272 to go. If I buy $300 in gift cards, where will the extra 28 bucks end up? Does it just use available balances on the cards, and I will end up with $28 remaining on one?
