OK - found the thread. Here it is: Hi. I was attempting to answer the question a few Canadian seniors had about travel medical insurance, but I was unable to find the thread. Therefore, I am starting a new one. I had already bought the trip insurance for my upcoming cruise in May, 2023, but I don't feel it's enough coverage for my comfort. So I looked up a few different sites and finally bought additional medical insurance which will insure you in spite of pre-existing conditions, of which I have a few. After answering all their medical questions (and answer them truthfully, because they WILL find out if you lied or omitted information should you ever actually need to file a claim with them), I bought a policy. It ended up costing me $114.48 CA, which is truly affordable, but I opted for the medical insurance only, since the cancellation and baggage components are already covered by the insurance I bought directly from NCL. I am booked on the Getaway for the cruise from May 11-20, 2023 and am flying solo. I have booked a balcony cabin because I am too claustrophobic for a 99 sq. ft. inside studio, even though I have to pay double for the privilege. I would still like to meet other solo travelers, though. Are these single meet ups at Bliss (or literally anywhere else) for ALL solo travelers, including those NOT booked in a studio cabin? If not, can you recommend other methods of meeting other solos?

Hear, hear! I heartily agree about that. I have no single friends to cruise with, so I cruise alone. Sometimes you just have to grab the bull by the - ahem - horns, in order to get over that first hurdle. Bite the bullet, so to speak. This will be my fourth cruise, each of which has been solo, my second with NCL. The only one I did not enjoy was MSC; can't really say why. No reason to say home simply because you have no travel partner. I really prefer not to share a cabin anyway, LOL!

I was under the impression that the scheduled meet ups for solos were only for those booked in the Studio cabins. I am booked in a balcony, but I'm not aware of any meet ups geared towards solos. If you know of any on this cruise, please share the information. The only reason I'm booked in a balcony, is that I'm too claustrophobic to stay in a 99 sq. ft. cabin. Otherwise I would book a studio for access to the Studio lounge. I would love to meet other people cruising solo!

Well, based on several comments, looks like I won't ever sail on RCL. Think I'll stick to NCL or Celebrity.
