I have to say, tonight was disappointing. We had dinner at Chops... the sides were fantastic, but my steak was overcooked.
Then, we went to a show and there were no reserved seats for us (despite what we were told), then the show cancelled at the last minute.
First world problems to be sure, but did not match what we were told to expect.
Plus, both times we called our Genie at the number she gave us, we got one of the other Genies.
Hoping service improves!

We met Clo at the meet and greet. She was very nice and high energy!

Great North Star photo Brianweb! We're not doing North Star for a few more days.
As Host Clarea said, the meet and greet was for suite guests.
Robtulipe, we are doing 20 knots and are around the NC / SC border.
I've spent most of the day just relaxing and reading. I definitely needed to recharge (my main goal for this vacation!).
Now, I'm waiting for the drink cart with high hopes!

Yes, true aft. It's one of the reasons we were willing to upgrade to this room. The view is amazing!!!Your sail away pictures are amazing! Are your cabins true aft? I'm wondering what view you had, since I will be boarding on the seventh as you are leaving.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

We did not sail by the Statue of Liberty, but went straight out. I did watch the harbor pilot jump off from the bridge wing... that was cool.

That's what our Genie said. They come by the room between 3:30 and 5pm.
By the way, our Genie is Yen. She is super nice and we are excited about the week.

Star Class check in was quick and easy, although the waiting area wasn't as nice as other ports.

Thank you for the kind wishes and suggestions for DD. She's doing better everyday and not interested in crutches.

My kids are mixed on the teen club. DS enjoys participating in some of the activities, while DD steers clear.
Overall, RCCL seems to do a nice job and has many different activities.
I always say to check it out and give it a chance.

It's traveling day for us. The bags are packed and we'll be headed to the airport soon!

The kids are home from the last day of school before spring break and the packing is on!

Well, I've always enjoyed reading the live reviews, so I thought I would pay it forward and try it myself. :D
Fair warning, please keep your expectations low! My main mission is enjoying a family vacation - me, DW, DS (16), and DD (13) - so I'm not sure how active I'll be. I'm planning to post at least once a day, though.
Also, this trip will include some firsts. Besides being my first live review, it will be our first time on Anthem (we've cruised previously with RCCL) and our first time going Star Class (we've done balconies or Sky Loft before).
We thought the Anthem itinerary sounded nice and we've wanted to try a Quantum class ship. We originally booked an OS and interior, but when we saw a Star Loft available, I thought it would be a special treat.
Today is all about finishing things up at work and preparing. Tomorrow, we're flying out and spending the night near the port.
I hope you enjoy the review!

Question for you, on the first / last day of a contact, when do you get on / off the ship? Are you expected to work that day? Thanks!

We're going to be on Anthem in a few weeks in Star Class. Our Genie will be Yen, but I was told she is off the ship currently and is back this Saturday. Also on the ship right now is Derick Martis. I hope that helps!

Off to an early start today... did some work / emails, then 45 minutes at the gym.
I'm trying to keep my exercise and steps up so I can enjoy the food without gaining (too much) weight!
Today, we stop at Port Canaveral. We were going to go to Kennedy Space Center, but there will be too much traffic with today's launch.
So, we'll watch the launch from the ship and enjoy a quieter day aboard, maybe do some flow riding with DS.
