  1. That is awesome that they upgraded you to a Grand Suite! I could be so lucky 🙂
  2. Thanks for the info everyone. Makes sense. I will go ahead and place a couple bids and keeping watching for what cabin I get assigned!
  3. Hi All, I booked a Guaranteed Suite on the aluure. I was wondering if it is still wrth trying to bid ofor an upgrade with Royal Up or if that , since I may have a chance to move up anyway with a Guaranteed Suite Thanks!
  4. 9 days at sea and a removed port! , if it was me, I would see about cancelling, since you mentioned it was 12 months away, and booking on another line that may still be going to that port (but that could change too). I would confirm with the other line that they are still scheduled to go to that port if they too are expecting Govt restrictions.
  5. It was under Manage Trip>Manage Reservation for my trip = Eclipse leaving June 4 - listed as Hubbard Glacier Wilderness Exploration. Now I have every port booked except Ketchikan. Icy Strait I booked Whale Watching with Glacier Wind Tours ( I liked the 12 people max on the boat!) Juneau I booked Helicopter Dogsledding with Extra Landing through Alaska Shore Tours.
  6. Oh yes, I do remember, sorry. Yeah - those pictures were awesome! It is a bit of Murphy's Law lol. If I book it then the main ship will get as close as the excursion, if I don't book it then the main ship will be 10 miles away. 🙂 I have onboard credit, so I am not worried about that really, the fact you booked it again is a good sign. I think I will regret it if I don't, and it gets sold out.
  7. Did you do it in June 2022? Was it worth it? I am on Celebrity June 2023 and the price is 340 per person for the Hubbard excursion! I am still thinking about doing it but not sure. Not as concerned with the money but don't want to feel like I wasted it either. I do have a balcony, but the excursion seems like it could be great or not.
  8. Our cruise leaves June 4th on Celebrity Eclipse out of Vancouver BC, we will be in Vancouver on June 1st to spend a couple days sightseeing. Sounds like I am looking at the same types of tours, and also struggling with what would be in Ketchikan. For ISP I booked a more private whale watching tour through Glacier Wind Charters, thanks to advice on these forums! Great reviews, max of 12 people, and so far they have been great with communication. Seems like an great tour! https://www.g-wind.com/ Hubbard Glacier there is only the Hubbard Glacier Wilderness Exploration. I am booking that but at 340 per person for 2.5 hours I am not sure if it is worth it - but will do it anyway. Juneau I am booking the helicopter Dogsledding with extra landing through alaska shore tours. Seems like all the heli tours , even from the ship, use the same companies and Costal helis ar ein most pics I have seen. Booking through the company is a little cheaper (749 pp) and includes the extra landing! https://alaskashoretours.com/excursions/juneau/helicopter-dogsledding-with-extra-landing/ Ketchikan - not sure yet.
  9. Yes, I can already see I will need to make another trip!
  10. Well, I checked out the link for the adventureboundalaska Tracy Arm Fjord along with the photos everyone posted here from Tracy Arm Fjord - which all look incredible, and would like to add my own! That tourdoes seem like it would leave memories for a lifetime with those views and landscapes, and the price is very reasonable as well. My only issue is that from Juneau I planned to do the Helicopter ride to the Glacier, Dog Sledding and then the extra glacier stop. Definitely more $$$ , but seemed like the best port to do that, and I wouldn't be able to do both. So now I do need to weigh the options for Juneau. I have no thoughts on a tour yet for the Ketchikan port, (2pm -8pm). Here is the tour I was planning on for Juneau - till you all threw a wrench in my plans 🙂 https://alaskashoretours.com/excursions/juneau/helicopter-dogsledding-with-extra-landing/
  11. @Coral @Glaciers@Wasasalad Awesome pics all the way around! Now I am even more excited to get on this trip after see all the stunning photos! The blue in the ice is crazy!
  12. @Italy52Those are amazing pictures! Thank you for sharing. It is awesome you got to experience a great day and got so close! I think I am convinced to take the risk, not like I can see something like that in Florida!
  13. Good to know! And it got much closer than the main ship? I really want to do it so I think I will just book it! at 340 pp I was just concerned because some folks said the Main ship they were on got really close anyway. I didn't want to spend $700 to get 50 feet closer 🙂
