  1. Quick passport check. If we don’t have something now… we don’t need it.
  2. Covered or uncovered. Spring time in Oklahoma… we will take covered.
  3. Let’s talk airport parking… I had remote south DFW parking reserved and paid for… fortunately, they have a wonderful cancellation policy. As long as you cancel 1 hour before you are set to arrive, full money back. It was like $4.80/day. OKC is much different. We are going with an off-site parking area, USA airport OKC parking. I found a first time user coupon that I have to show when we arrive AND when we leave for $3.95 covered parking for 5 days. Then it’s $8 a day. You pay when you leave. We shall see how this goes.
  4. Once I’m on the flight from ORD to San Juan… I’ll be 100% better. Right now, the “what ifs” are running wild.
  5. We are on the road. Dropping off the kids’ stuff, then straight to OKC. The OKC airport is relatively small, so no worries.
  6. Up and at them! It’s travel day 🤞🏻! Gotta get these yahoos to school, and then up to OKC.
  7. Our bidding was unsuccessful. And I’m okay with that since we had to pay more for flights. Evening activities, finished. Dinner, consumed. Kids all packed and in bed. Now that we are leaving later, we will take them to school tomorrow. Only 3 things left on my “to do” list. Think I’ll add… Make it to San Juan tomorrow… on there. I would like to send my best wishes to those that are having a hard time in Florida. Today was rough for me scrambling, but I’m sure it was a much harder day there.
  8. Also looks like there are some early morning MCO options from Southwest. From Midway, I can get to MCO as late as a flight leaving at 10pm. I’m watching everything.
  9. If you’ve followed along before, you know I always have several back up plans just in case. This FLL thing is throwing me for a loop. If there’s an issue in OKC getting to ORD, we will try to get to Denver. If there’s an issue at ORD, best options are to get to EWR or Philly for early morning nonstops to San Juan. I’m grasping at straws here. I’m hoping it’s all smooth sailing now… literally but I’m stressing.
  10. Absolutely. 🤞🏻 If I make it to the ship. 😬
  11. Oh my. This day has been hard, but not THAT hard. 😆
  12. Thanks! I know with these things if you wait on the airlines it probably won’t work out. No one is motivated like I am to get myself on a ship.
  13. After the robot said I wasn’t impacted, I was transferred to Vanessa. Vanessa kept asking me for the same information over and over again. Then, Nelly showed up. (Insert random STL, 90’s “rap” lyric here) Nelly processed my refund, and we are good to go.
  14. Spirit has a chat feature. The email and the website say to use it if we want to request a refund. It tells me my reservation hasn’t been “impacted”. 🤦🏼‍♀️
  15. Spirit emailed, and said I could fly Sunday to Phillie and then to San Juan. Sorry. Hard pass. That won’t work at all.
  16. The flight to San Juan from OKC went up $250 per person since I booked it this morning. Supply and demand.
  17. Delta flight in, Southwest back to OKC. With FLL only projecting to open one runway at 5am tomorrow, I doubt Spirit will get there. I’ll call tomorrow and work the money and details out with them.
  18. Well as you all can assume, it’s been a fun morning. After I checked in, got the kids to school and saw FLL. 😬 I’m not chancing that. Sooo ch-ch-changes. No more DFW. OKC to ORD to San Juan. Flight leaves tomorrow at 2:30pm… we won’t get to San Juan until 11:50pm, but that’s better than getting canceled in the morning or getting stuck in FLL.
  19. Oddly enough, talking about @Saint Greg tonight alarm set for flight check in.
