There will be one. They even have one in the 2 night cruises.
I was just about to post the same answer! We were a bit surprised to find one on our first 2 nighter and thought about not not packing for it and just using the buffet. In the end we made the effort and thoroughly enjoyed it.

We quite often buy cans or bottles of beer when ashore during the cruise and have never had any trouble taking them on board so I don't see why it should be an issue when you first embark.
Have a great time!

I've got no time for FB either so that makes several of us!
This thread caught my attention as I've been thinking about kicking off a couple of roll calls for next year and 2019. I've been hesitant to do so partly because of the seemingly low interest as covered here and also as I'm relatively new to CC and not really sure how these things work (probably daft I know). Also these cruises are sometime off yet....I guess I should just go for it and see what happens?

We had a deluxe balcony very close to yours last year. It was a nice spacious cabin with a lovely sized balcony which we managed to enjoy despite it being November!
It was quite close to the lifts but there was never any noise from them or queues, you're also just a couple of decks down from the buffet entrance and the aft pool bar which is a lovely place to sit and enjoy s drink.
Have a great time!

A big thank you to every one for their comments
I must say Aurora is the one ship in the fleet that I know the least about but she does seem a very popular ship for Cruise Critic members
Zoe Sproodle - The cruise I`m booked on in R809 - Norway Iceland and Ireland on Saturday 16th June 2018 to Saturday 30th June 2018 - My 4th trip to Norway with P&O, first time to Iceland and first time cruising to Ireland, where I have been MANY times previously = At the time of writing this we have 1 year to go !!!
We are on the same one then. I chose that specifically because it was Aurora at a time that suited and really wanted to try her.

Cruisefan, thanks for starting this thread, I was kind of wondering the same thing myself. From reading your Flybe thread I think we are on the same cruise next June.
Thanks also to everyone for the useful comments.

It was there last July which is when I had my run-in with it - it looked innocent enough but approach with caution!
I swiped my cruise card and proceeded to pour myself a pint of Stella, which is when then trouble started. My pint came out, followed by another, and another, the thing wouldn't stop and by the time it finally shut down I had a bill for about £20 and a lot of frothy beer spread over several glasses. On the plus side the waiter told me to report it to reception who duly refunded the whole lot without a problem. Me thinks i wasn't the first to fall foul of this beast

You are right, as you're not going outside of the EU they won't be selling cartons of 200 cigarettes but you should still be able to buy single packs of 20 from the bar. The choice is however quite limited so as its only for 3 nights I would recommend taking a few packs of your favourite smokes with you

I bought them from The Exchange on Ventura a couple of weeks ago, the choice was Marlboro Gold or Marlboro Gold. I've always found them available from the similar bars on other ships. They were about £6 a pack.
Hope this helps

We were on Ventura 21st March - 2nd April and I have to say that the MDR food was better than we have had fir several years on P&O. The menus have been updated recently.
Absolutely agree with you, Josy. We were on Ventura 2-9 Apr and ate in the MDR most nights - couldn't fault it at all. Don't forget to enquire about the 'always available' options if there's nothing on that evening's menu that takes your fancy......

Definitely Peroni and Stella but If memory serves I don't think they have Carling.

I received the same email, followed the next day by one correcting it to GBP. My first thought was 'oh no it wont' and I'll be straight to reception when I get on board to remove the charge. It's not that I object to tipping and but I won't be told how much...
Balcony smoking not taken seriously
in P&O Cruises ( UK )
Posted
I am a smoker but would never dream of lighting up on the balcony and think that the ban on smoking there was a good idea. Besides annoying the neighbours the fire risk is just too great, I read a few years back about an American ship that lost about 100 cabins because of a carelessly discarded cigarette end.
We only ever had inside cabins before the ban but having had balconies since I can honestly say it hasn't been a problem for me so I can't understand why people need to flaunt the rules.
Would I light up if allowed? Possibly yes, but would cease if I thought I was annoying anyone nearby and certainly make sure it was properly extinguished.
