  1. We are getting ready to book our flights, but just aren't sure what is the earliest flight we should take? Meraviglia is supposed to dock at 8am I think, but just now sure how long it'll take to disembark, and get to the airport, customs, long lines, etc.....Anyone who can give us their experienced advise would be much appreciated. We do not want to end our Vacation by missing our flights back to the U.S. lol

We ended up taking a taxi straight from the airport, which was pretty hassle-free. At the time, it was probably around 50 euros, although my memory might not be entirely accurate!
  2. Did anyone ever help you out with these questions from years ago? We're heading to Marseille next March, and then disembarking in Marseille and flying back to the US as well.

    Hello all!

I have searched this site and the rest of the web extensively, but I'm still having trouble figuring out what the best way to get from the Marseille airport to the cruise terminal is (we'll be embarking on the MSC Splendida in Marseille). I'm aware of this website, but it doesn't have many details.

    My questions are

    1) What's the easiest way to get from the airport to the cruise terminal, and vice versa (for disembarkation)?

    2) What's the cheapest way?

    3) Does MSC offers a shuttle from the airport to the terminal? Their very sorry website isn't much help in this regard.

    4) How much would a taxi cost?

    Thanks!

  3. We've cruised from Marseille before, found it easier to go on the Eurostar and TGV, spending the day on the train rather than in airports :)

Hope you don't mind me asking, but can you fill us in on the whole Marseille Airport experience. I have read some frightful reviews of that place. We are flying in from the U.S. into Marseille next March, and then flying out of Marseille after our MSC Meraviglia cruise. What is the earliest time of day we should book our return flight after docking sometime around 8am? We do not want to worry about missing our flights home, and have not booked our flights yet. We're arriving a whole day earlier thankfully, but have to fly home the same day we disembark.

  4. we are loyal to Royal, but could not pass up the incredible offer to do a Western Med Cruise on MSC Meraviglia next April. *kids sail free, and BOGO offer as well. Happy to hear you liked your Divinia cruise. We booked a *fantastica level Balcony room, and this includes 12 free drinks for each of us in the Cabin. Kids get 12 drinks as well, but non-alcoholic.

We cruised Divina in October after cruising Allure in April. Divina was very good. Very Italian but that isn't bad. The ship is beautiful and spotless. Our cabin (aft balcony) was very well decorated. Food in MDR was good. Liked the drink coupon book option. We booked Seaside before sailing Divina and look forward to sailing her in April (2018). I liked Divina so much that we plan to stay with MSC and Celebrity. No more RCCL after the Empress fiasco. They changed my 5 night (4/24) to a four night with very little OBC as compensation. We did status match on MSC to gold. Fear not MSC [emoji41]

  5. I don't usually write reviews, but I will post about how we fared on the cruise. Depending on internet access, I'll try to post while onboard, too, though I'm not promising. I may just be too busy immersing myself in the whole experience :D:D:D

Thanks for the link!! There are so many new additions on this ship, I don't think a week will be enough!

  6. Currently we are looking to book our first European Cruise for March 2018-(any suggestions will be appreciated). We are limited to certain dates due to our children being out of school. Anyway, many of you are seasoned Cruisers so I am not embarrassed to ask where you usually find the best European Airfare? I always share helpful tips, and thought some of you might like to share yours. If anyone would like to point me in the direction of some of your recent European Cruise reviews, that would be appreciated as well. We do not have anything booked yet, so suggestions are welcome.

  7. If you go onto FLICKR you can see our 400+ photos from our Cuba/Costa Maya Trip from April 19th. You'll love your room choices. Nice and quiet, and easy access to pool deck on 10, and just a jump downstairs to Bolero's. If you are traveling with any children it is perfect location for "Adventure Ocean" kids club room.
