Just seen a picture of John Grantham on FB, saying it’s the last day of the crossing Sydney to Vancouver.
its a long time since we first came across John Grantham, possibly on our first Celebrity cruise on Infinity in 2003

We did the Farmhouse experience in the morning and then visited Pompeii in the afternoon ( horrendous heat without any shade).
i have attached photos of the farmhouse experience.
We passed the hills where they quarry the stone used in the statues in Florence.
Then we got out of the coach to be taken by horse & cart to the farmhouse.
Lunch was served.
We were given time to look round the inside of the farmhouse where there were shops. -

For what purpose(s)? Booking a cabin on Princess?
You are adult in Europe at 18, so you are allowed to drink if sailing in Europe.

While we on the chat may agree that 20 seems "old enough", Princess has always had the policy that someone in a cabin must be 21 at least for as long as I remember. Formerly had to do the same thing, ie. split the children (and us) between rooms, or sail in same room. It's cramped in a regular balcony, but doable (although it may be that no room capable of sleeping 4 people is available).
18 is adult If you are sailing in Europe.

Obviously lots of problems with the app.
Excuse me for not reading through 76 pages, but is anyone else told that ‘this isn’t your booking’
My date of birth is also incorrect, it has me a year older and I can’t see how to change it.
Could someone please give me the Princess web site and I will see if I can correct it that way.
The only way I can get through to my booking is by going via an email I had when we first booked, inviting us to book excursions.

Not been on Princess since 2017 when we had Traditional Dining.
We are sailing September 1st, so before the new set up is rolled out.
I want to book a dining room as close as possible to our room in the Aft of the ship.I have read that Ceilo is on Deck 6 which is one deck down.
How do I book, I’ve searched and can’t find how to book.

That actually is one additional advantage of booking through a TA as they will track payment dates and remind you ahead of time.
Not happy with our TA.
They did just that so we rang a week early, just to make sure we could use a Credit Card. As we were on the phone, we decided to pay.
We were sent a receipt, which only showed the deposit as being paid.
The Credit Card didn’t indicate a pending payment.
We rang again the next day and fortunately spoke to a different agent, who took the payment.
I’m now worrying that the first agent has our credit card number and may use it himself.😱

I heard he is from Wales? Makes it hard for us to understand him through the public adress system...
I don’t think Eddie has a very strong Welsh Accent, but I grew up in Cardiff, as I believe he did as well.
He gave some very interesting lectures on Wales though.

And cameras everywhere that can see everything you do in public
I really hope you mean in public areas and not in the privacy of your room!😱

This isn’t the thread to whine about Celebrity not catering to your desires
Let Jim write about his amazing adventures
I’m not whining, I’m commenting.
As an 82 year old, I need to be sensible about travelling.

I need to go to the same dining room, as I am Lactose intolerant, so have filled in a Special Needs form.

You are lucky you have the Birth Certificate option.
We don’t get that in the UK, its passport only.

Is there even an airport in Rotterdam? We are sailing on Silhouette in June. We are flying into/out of Amsterdam. We will take the train to Rotterdam where we embark/disembark. Seems easy enough. Hope it is!
Too much hassle.
At our age we prefer to go to Southampton.

Also we’re both diamond on RC so get 4 free drinks a day, is that transferable to Celebrity? I seem to think it is and may well have asked before but can’t recall.
You will be Elite on Celebrity , so will have free drinks between 5-7pm, every day except the first day.

Aren't Amsterdam and Rotterdam about an hour apart? Or am I missing something?
Yes, but which port do you book your flight to if they are subject to change.

why we changed departure ports from Amsterdam to Rotterdam.

Puts me off booking a cruise on Silhouette now, as we would have to fly to the port- but which port?
Crazy. -

In what country does Celebrity have a credit card 🤔
Certainly not the UK.

Do most of you come in with your best bid initially or change them pretty frequently?
I wouldn’t go for a move up if I had chosen my cabin.

Writing as someone from your neighbourhood the older you get the harder it gets to fly long haul,
Agree 100%.
Our Grandson will be doing third 3rd year at University in Adelaide and will celebrate his 21st birthday while he is there. We have already told him we won’t be travelling to help him celebrate.🙈
