Watching an old rerun of Rosanne, and George Clooney is in it, back before he hit the big time.
What will really blow your mind is if you catch a Facts of Life rerun, where he's the handyman!

Guy shows up an hour and a half late, and in the middle of one of his famous five hour long phone calls... Forty five minutes later now, and it's still going on. It's one of the things that drives me crazy about working here. I have absolutely no interest in hearing his banal conversation, but I can't escape it, and the "powers that be" tolerate it day after day...
This is just bizarre. I know it's hard to find staff right now, but geesh.

I'm not entirely sure what you mean but here is a example.
I booked for $1000 plus 200 fees and taxes for 2. My rate included a $50 obc. The rate is 1000 plus 50, so new rate has to be lower than 1050.
Wouldn't it be the other way? 1000 with 50 OBC is a net cost of 950. The new fare would need to be lower than (net) 950 vs 1050.

Chuck Norris is demanding playtime via human interaction. He has been climbing me for the past 15 minutes, yowling in my ear, walking across my keyboard. Spoiled.
He's been trying to get your attention for 15 whole minutes?? Sounds suuuuper neglected to me, not spoiled. 😉

I wound up booking the Pride, which has Serenity on Lido deck aft. The location looks good, but maybe iffy because the waterslides end immediately above? At least there's a bar to dull the sounds of (happily) screaming children, lol.

Some Carnival ships have the entry point for the water slides on the same deck as Serenity, so the kids were always running up the stairs and yelling as they waited their turn.
I've seen these too, and it's just so bizarre to me. I know the ship designers are smarter than I am, but this just seems like REALLY poor planning.

I hope you gave her the NY version of "bless your heart." 😄

Is Wix down? I'm getting a page not found error. 😞
Edit: I can get to the review if I just go to your blog. Maybe it's the specific link? Or just a misc computer gremlin, who knows, lol!

Awesome, thank you @cellfree!

I mostly sail Fantasy class, but I'm looking to branch out. I was just checking the Freedom deck plan, and saw that Serenity is right next to Camp Ocean. Um... what?? I wouldn't think that's a very serene location. 😂 😂 Can someone who's sailed on a ship with this setup, please chime in with your experience?

Welcome home! Can't wait for your review! 😁

If you price it out, this promo is total bs. The "special free Cheers!" rate is almost exactly the best available rate + normal price for Cheers. I expected a hundred bucks or so upcharge, but no. Insult to injury: right now, the best available rate comes with $200 in obc. Caveat emptor, big time!

A little worried about the lady across the street. She's been outside on the front porch and she doesn't seem to have a jacket on. I haven't seen the daughters today so maybe that 's what she is waiting for.
It snowed briefly today in Indy, conveniently timed right when I went to the grocery store. Refused to change the fashion plan, so I walked through the flurry in sandals and a t-shirt. Nbd. Maybe she runs hot like I do? 😄

I suspect your tag has to do with American football to which I am clueless
Even worse* it's an American college football thing. Which is an entirely different level of crazy. 😉
* Or better, ymmv!

Where's @deedle7544with all this "meat action"......
Maybe she had a date with the former football player? It had to have been something good, to keep her from meat appreciation.

For lunch, we headed to PJ's Oyster Bar in St Pete Beach. Super kitschy place, with a great bartender/waitress. Chicago oysters (parmesan and garlic) , a big batch of crab legs, and several(!) Patron margaritas, and we were feeling no pain whatsoever.
PJ's is a block from the Corey Ave Shopping District, so we did some damage there. Then sat down at the Twisted Tiki for another couple of cocktails, that tasted like the beach and poor decision making. 😍

@indygirl76, you getting wet in Treasure Island?
It stormed off and on yesterday, but today is looking pretty good. Fingers crossed!
We're supposed to go to The Pearl tonight, the other "fancy" restaurant in TI. Hoping for something delicious and photo-worthy!

Tonight, we went to Middle Grounds Grill. It's the "fancy" restaurant in TI, and there were still plenty of people in shorts and tees.
I learned two things about stone crab claws.
1) They're really, really delicious.
2) I can never, EVER order them on a date. What a nightmare - the table looked like a toddler destroyed it. (I left an extra large tip. And still felt guilty!)The other dish is a stuffed portobello, with crab, zucchini, and boursin cheese. So good it should be illegal.

More from Treasure Island... Struggled out of bed this morning. Bestie uses a cpap machine, and the power converter box thing chose last night to suddenly die. Joy. Thank god for Amazon, a replacement will be here tomorrow.
We went to Shrimpy's Blues Bistro (about a mile south, in St Pete Beach) for brunch. Good mimosas, great! Benedicts (one crab and one shrimp and scallop), and great service to make up for the flaky service we had last night.
In other news, there's a wedding going on in front of our hotel on the beach. I think the silver fox from the elevator last night, might be the officiant. Bless me Father, for I'm about to sin....

After an awesome and much needed nap, we got dressed up (ish, it's a beach town) and headed out for dinner and drinks at Captain Bill's Oyster Bar.
Service here wasn't great, but we made do. 😂 Wine and a "banana bread Old Fashioned," which was fantastic and tasted like cinnamon. We decided on a bunch of appetizers to share: fried fish bites, crab cake, oysters rock, and (my favorite) mussels in an obscene amount of garlic.
Then we wandered over to Ricky T's, and danced to a fun cover band while having a couple of beach drinks. Hit the liquor store. Twice. The front desk didn't have a corkscrew, what can you do?
Met a guy in the hotel elevator who smelled like S*x Panther and was very easy on the eyes. Hoping to run into him sometime soon. You've gotta have goals, right??
