  1. Anyone know the show frequency and show times of the entertainment- we are sailing June 15?:

    Cirque Dreams

    Burn the floor

    Rock of Ages

    Headliners (2nd City)

I'll be on the same sailing! Show times should open up soon. I was on back in February and can not remember the show times other than 2nd City being offered 4 or 5 days, 3 shows a night. I might still have the dailies at home.

  2. Since my kids are grown, I don't pay a whole lot of attention to the "Kids sail free" However it does seem to be the first part of the year when they have this. They may do it later in the year, just keep looking. :)

This Kids Sail Free promo was for kids ages up to 99 (basically anyone over the first 2 in the cabin.)

    Usually happens twice a year.

  3. We will be celebrating my daughters birthday on our cruise and she loves chocolate covered strawberries. I see I can pre-order them through NCL but was wondering if anyone bought some from Carlos Bakery? We love that bakery here in NJ and would love to purchase them there if they have them on the ship. Thanks for any info

I do not recall chocolate covered strawberries at the bakery. It had very limited operating hours (maybe 2 hours a day maximum in the late afternoons). 95% of the items in the bakery they also had in the coffee bar in the atrium. The bakery is very small and hidden.

  4. Not sure about everyone.

We are not in a Suite, or Haven, so I don't know how it works for them.

My last cruise was in 2010, and we did not have to walk over to 12th Ave.

So, sometime in the past 4 years it changed.

Yes, it's for all cruise ships at Pier 88.

It's not hard to get to 12th Ave.

    Hope this helps.

In February, we got picked up at the terminal, not on 12th.

  5. Does anyone have a photo of a mini suite on the Getaway for 4 people with the beds showing?

I cant find a picture of the layout for the 4th person. Lots of posts of people guessing it comes from the ceiling, but I need to make sure there is, in fact, a 3rd bed.

    Thanks

No pictures but there is a single sofa bed and a pull down bunk from the ceiling

  6. Does it matter what side of the ship you stay on for the 3 days docked at bermuda (would prefer mid-ship since prone to sea sickness! Any good tips on what floor is quiet and good choice for 3 (looking at mini suite deck 11! Any input greatly appreciated!!

As far as which side in Bermuda, you can't go wrong with either side of the ship, but all ships that I have been on that dock there, alternate which side they put to the pier on any particular sailing and may change depending on what lifeboat they may need to lower or what work may need to be done on the outside of the ship

  7. We have a house for sale and want to be able to keep in touch with our real estate agent. Has anyone had experience with Tracfone to Cabo and PV? I know we can turn on the Wi-Fi for a few minutes or so to check email, but what are other options?

    Please respond ASAP. THANKS

You should be able to call from your stateroom phone for $1.99 per minute which is usually less than any wireless carrier from the ship

  8. I sailed the Carnival Pride out of Baltimore this past Summer and had FTTF and when I dropped my luggage off in the parking lot I pointed out to the porter that I had FTTF and he had no idea what I was talking about and put my luggage with all the other luggage. However, my luggage was waiting in the cabin when we boarded.

Same here, the porter had no idea, but when the we arrived at our cabin the luggage was already there and had the orange stickers on it.

  9. 1) You may bring 12 bottles/cans 20oz or less per person, but it must be carried on.

    2) our cruise on the pride last week, we arrived at noon and they were direcly boardng anyone who was arriving.

    3) Unless you have FTTP or are have simliar priority, you arenot supposed to have access to your stateroom until 1:30. If you leave your carry on with the rest of your luggage there is always the chance it could get lost. That's why they tell everyone to carry on all medications and anything of value.

    4) They wanted us out of our staterooms at 8:30. but we were scheduled to debark at noon. the ship docked around 10am. Just keep in mind, they can not start boarding new passengers until all current passengers have left the ship. I think the last scheduled call for debarking was at 12:40.

Just a few quick questions. It's been a long time since I've been on Carnival, and this is the first time to bring kids (ages5-10). We are on the Liberty.

We do not have The start fun early thing. It's sold out as of today.

1- if I bring a case of water bottles with me and attach a luggage tag, will they deliver it to my room?

2- I got the memo to not show up until 1:00. If we have no special status or anything like that, what are my options? How early could I go and not have to wait forever?

3- if I try to go to my room, can I get there right away and leave my carry on? Why wouldn't I just have my carrying delivered with my other luggage? Why carry a bag around with me?

4- on the last day, his late can you stay on the ship?

    Thanks

  10. No one knows if there is a replacement line and until there is a deal or a leak within one of the cruise lines we probably won't know. Carnival is not "confirming permanency" of the Baltimore removal at this point (aka they *might* be back once scrubbers are installed). This will probably depend on whether or not their is a replacement line.

I know Celebrity Mercury went out of Baltimore a few years ago, but I have no idea why they pulled out.

Take it for what it's worth, but we just got off the Pride and the cruise director told us that Carnival will be back in Baltimore, most likely a few months after they pull out.

  11. I have searched DCL website and can't find this answer..what are their "military" requirements?? I know that other cruise lines is retired (at 20 years), disabled veteran, honorable discharge with at least 2 years active or 6 month war service. Is DCL the same policy?? DH served 12 years active army and served in 3 wars and I know he would have to present his DD214 , which we have, so wondering if we qualify. I know they aren't offering ANY military discounts at the moment but would like to know for future offers..thanks guys!
