  1. I'm pretty sure you know these are not the real lyrics, but I do like yours better. I think I will probably giggle, thinking about this, when I hear the song next time. THANK YOU (for the review and for your great spirit)
  2. This so looks like a panic room set up! Except maybe the "wave to unlock" part isn't in the panic room. But I agree, so official and intense. Especially answering an emergency call of nature.
  3. THANK YOU for such a fun and engaging live review! I don't comment much on CC but I do enjoy reading the live reviews from members that write (type?) great stories - I've read a few of your previous ones and now finally have the chance to say something while your live is just finishing up. You have a great balance of telling and showing with your words and photos. It was also neat to learn there is a "B roll" of photos that don't make the cut for the posts - because I was just thinking you are always this ace photographer and every shot comes out perfect! Safe travels home! For both you and Hudson 😀
  4. I had to write to say THANK YOU for the time you are taking to do this review - has been incredibly enjoyable so far, and your style really makes Alaska accessible and almost personal for readers like me. Your descriptions and your pictures, with just enough detail about the "nuts and bolts" of how things happen in your journey, make me feel like I am having this trip and that I could do this, too! It is a gift from you to share this here on CC, and I thank you. However, please don't feel bad about how often you post. Please go out and keep enjoying what you all are doing, and you can tell us here after when you get a chance. We'll be ready whenever you can post! 🙂 After all, you did say this would be "Semi-Live."
  5. THANK YOU so much for doing this review. I read a lot of "lives" here but don't comment much. You seemed to have the most FUN time of anybody this year! (Not that it's a competition). It's just that your enjoyment of the cruise really shone through in your descriptions. Also, I am so happy that you are planning to do a review on the next cruise, too - looking forward to your thoughts (and maybe your dear Mom can contribute her thoughts, too). GREAT reading!!!
  6. I think it was easier on The Love Boat because the Island Princess and Pacific Princess were so much smaller - easier to find "that one special person." Nowadays, the special person might be on another deck looking for you, or in an aft elevator going Up while you're going midship going Down. And then of course, The Love Boat had a script . . .
  7. I can't say I know how you're feeling, but I can tell you that it takes time to heal after any big life change, and you are still in the midst of a life change. You might even be grieving for what you thought you had, and then it didn't turn out to the plan. And in my unsolicited opinion, I think you should feel proud of yourself *just* for embarking on the ship and taking this cruise. That's a big accomplishment right there. Sometimes being in nature can help - like an Alaska cruise!
  8. This is such a shockingly accurate and strong visual, I had to text this description to a friend of mine. Made her morning! @willdra you have such a captivating command of the English language. I can't thank you enough for all your great stories.
  9. I'm a bit late to this LIVE but did want to say THANK YOU for doing this - it is so wonderful to get to read your adventures.
  10. And it looks like the fan made it onboard and found you!
  11. I guess this means the trip really is over, which is a somber realization. THANK YOU so much for all the time and effort you put into this review - the photos, the commentary, and keeping track of the daily activities sheets. I really enjoyed reading your adventures, and I am amazed at how you both kept up that frenetic pace of activity with a strenuous excursion nearly each day. WOW! These Mediterranean cruises sure are port-intensive!
  12. It's the flip flops that complete the outfit! Really pulled it all together
  13. THANK YOU, Willdra, so much for taking the time to do this review and share your adventures. You are an amazing writer with an engaging turn of phrase, and I feel so lucky to get to read your stories. (And yes, I am mostly a lurker as you can tell from my post count, but I worked up the courage to type some gratitude.)
