  1. Last night we came back to find a set of monogrammed PJ’s. It was so chilly I slipped into mine.
  2. Forgot if I answered. We both filled out the survey and did mention our disappointment with this ship but praised the staff we interface with.
  3. Yes I bring my own Firestick and put in one of the HDMI. You can either use my video to select HDMI or at least on this ship Channel 100 on live TV takes you to the HDMI port it is like home. You can have live tv or use Roku or Firestock. We have YouTube TV so we can watch all our live and recorded SF channels.
  4. I found a new screen under live tv. Takes you right to the HDMI port Channel 100 Never noticed it before.
  5. It was just an attendants hut. The campus we visited was in Albert park Albert Park was the location of a Waiohua settlement called Mangahekea, sacked in the 1740s by Ngāti Whātua. Albert Park occupies much of the site of the Albert Barracks, one of Auckland's early European military fortifications.
  6. Off to Devonport Tour today. Iain decided to spend a quiet day aboard so I'll be on my own. It is starting out as an overcast day with a chance of drizzle and winds.
  7. It was a wonderful walk. A bit of a hike as it was quite steep going getting to the top where much of the park's museums and lakes are
  8. I finally made it to Auckland. Long uphill climb to the to of the volcano but worth it.
  9. Next we took a walk through the University. Had to walk through a beautiful underpass to cross a busy intersection
  10. We took a long hike today to Auckland Domain. Pukekawa / Auckland Domain is our oldest park and one of the largest. Developed on 75 hectares around the cone of an extinct volcano. The 'tuff rings' created by volcanic activity can be seen in the land contours and forms a natural amphitheatre. View from the Domain But first we have to take the long walk wandering around Auckland and then through Auckland University Guess who?
  11. Started the day with a Zenith gathering. Luckily the CC Manager called and left a reminder as yet again our invite did not arrive. When I mentioned she said she gave them to the Retreat Hosts. Hmmmmm Strange they held it in Casino Bar. Arrived in Auckland on time but took awhile for the ship to clear. Due to everyone wanting to go ashore they implemented a Ticket system. Suite and Zenith were escorted off first and on demand. Queen Elizabeth is in Auckland today also
  12. They have raised the cap to $20.50. Having said that the waiters are not fully trained and one friend we knew was charged a $3.00 for a glass of wine over the $17 price and when he took it to Guest Relations she treated him like he was a crook - after researching she gave him the credit without even an apology.
  13. Wow... you are a wonderful writer and hit the nail on the head. You have hit all of our feelings. The S-Class ships are our favorite.
  14. So far no local inspired options but had a couple in OVC. Have not even spotted LBH. Just came back from the Zenith 1st Gathering... I thought she might make an appearance but just Captain Matt and his Senior Staff. Did have an opportunity to speak to HD, FB Director and Guiseppie. Wonder if LBH will meet with Zenith's at the Lunch. Date and time not yet announced. I did notice today that The Club was closed off for Private Function - pots of coffee on table. I have heard she is not here in an official capacity and is on vacation.
  15. I will quote Iain ----- You've got to be kidding ---- No way in He! ! Iain has a fear of heights and that would definitely be off the table.
  16. That is so nice. I have to say the Dover Sole in Murano is by far our favorite. The staff in Luminae is incredible.
  17. I think the CD is incredible. I think the problem is the HD and possibly his management style. May just be where I visit on the ship but have not seen hide nor hair of him so far, but don't attend the Senior officer parties. In regarding to reply to my complaints sent directly to him, Nothing ...Nada. Not even a form letter. I did however get an acknowledgement from the Retreat staff, Cellar Master and Captain Club Manager of the concerns later pointed out. I was for the most part impressed with Apex and it's staff.
  18. Last night Fin Cuts - would give it a 7 The waiter asked for Iain’s wine preference. Couldn’t understand what Pouilly Fusse was so said would get sommelier. Dover Sole - may have been nice without all the stuff on top. Iain rated it 5-6 Lobster - beautiful Lobster Ravioli but the sauce overpowered the delicate flavor of the lobster. The real negative. Even though seated facing the windows. The noise level was like grand central station. Then the light show began. The whole feel was off with staff just doing a fine dining service but zero interaction. At end of meal said it was our table and enjoy as long as you wish and disappeared. Food. 7-8. Not amazing. Luminae even with its failures is a much better experience. IMG_1943.mov
