My husband and I are booked on the Edge for the New Years Eve sailing 2018.  In March of this year I booked our specialty dining and reserved the times and restaurants we wanted.  This past week I got a call from Celebrity telling me they had overbooked the restaurant (Fine Cut) and that I would have to choose another day to eat at the restaurant (originally chosen the 3rd January).  I asked what was available and all they had was January  5th (the day before we are to disembark!!).  I thought booking the restaurants so early in advance would ensure that I got my preferred time and dates for the restaurants I had selected??  Has this happened to anyone else on this sailing?

Will see you for New Years as well

i am not reserving anything and will play it by ear. I never heard of so much needed reservations on a cruise

    thanks jc

It most likely will be pulled off without incident, maybe a few close calls, nothing major!

Just think of the TV coverage.. just great shots from the air as well as from shore...

    bon voyage

Bo, I agree with you as South Florida is packed with crazy boaters

hopefully we can see it on tv

On another board someone is reporting that they called Celebrity and got confirmation that Room Service will be a charge on Edge; $7.95 per order plus 18% gratutity regardless of what is ordered. Has this been discussed before? First I am hearing of it. No word on whether if suites will be charged also or whether this will spread to the rest of the fleet. (I am guessing it will if it works as they want it to on Edge.)

Yes, I heard that but not clear. Is that on all orders o after certain time

    please someone clarify

    thanks getty123 or jc

Thanks VT. Decided to take another look at the app, and it has improved since I last tried it (and promptly uninstalled it lol). Of course, I can’t do much this far out, but at least my bookings are displayed this time😉

    Thanks

OK, it will require wifi, are they having a free wifi for the app on board.

Yeah!!!  Delivery date!!! Thanks to the Celebrity and the shipyard workers!  What an awesome effort.  They all pulled it off on time and created something very special for all of us.  Over a hundred pages of posts ago in Dec 2016 we were celebrating the "blocks are in the house" first post.  Thanks LLoyd for keeping us up to date through the process.

    Thanks

    amen 🙏

    HI Peter -

If by chance Valentina could get some pictures of a Concierge accessible balcony cabin, I would appreciate it.  I'm in one on the Dec 9th cruise, and my cabin mate needs to be a suitcase full of medical supplies, so we were wondering how the cabin is set up.  We were wondering if there was more storage than a regular infinite balcony, where the bed placement is, etc.  Haven't seen any diagrams of the layout or any pics so if she can and has a moment, it would be very much appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Thanks

i need photos of The accessible sky suite
