  1. Thanks. Manawakie was recommended b/c it's smaller and farther away from the port and we want to see more of Roatan anyway and I know RC has its own excursions to Mayan Eden. I've seen very good reviews for both so we'll give it some thought. I still have over 3 weeks.
  2. Thanks. We even saw Sun Chips at one point a while back; that’s what my wife was hoping for but she’ll live with classic Lays if that’s all they have in 3 weeks.
  3. Yeah, I went to check the same thing in the app and the only time that showed up from my above example was 12:00, not the other times I saw on the website... and 12:00 is actually exactly what we already booked, lol. I already knew not to trust the app but on Allure in October, we had dinner reservations one night and wanted to switch the time that day on the ship (we just decided we'd rather eat earlier or later, I forget, not important). The app showed no availability. We went to the restaurant and the hostess said every single 15 minute time slot was available and we could switch to anything we wanted. It was empty that night and my wife and I couldn't help but wonder how many people may have checked the app and said oh well, no availability, we won't eat there. We felt horrible for our wonderful server who clearly wasn't making many tips.
  4. Maybe it's an app vs. website issue? I've never used the app to book dining.
  5. When I do that (my screen shot is from the website on my phone) most times are missing (i.e. unavailable) & the red line is only there for the conflict time(s).
  6. I can see remaining available times for specialty dining I have booked (including ones that overlap and are around the time I have). Maybe I'm misunderstanding.
  7. This has my wife very excited, lol, but she wants to know what types of chips you saw. Anything besides classic yellow Lays?
  8. I think it was Allure in October when we had out first 5:00... there was actually a sign posted outside the MDR that listed early seating as 5:00-5:15pm. Our impression is that there's a 15 minute grace period and anything beyond that is considered late.
  9. They usually do and Wonder had me sign receipts for my voucher drinks in March far more often than any past sailing. There can always be mistakes or exceptions, that's all.
  10. This is why I said value is subjective. I also have no idea what the poster who mentioned the Sky JS paid compared what price they could have paid for OV balconies. Personally, I don't think any of these are worth it. I sail interiors b/c I don't use my balcony when I have one and spend almost no time in my cabin except to sleep, shower, and get changed. That's my subjective valuation, of course. I totally understand why others like balconies... but they hold zero value for me.
  11. SKY makes it a completely different situation IMO. One still has to weigh the cost/benefits (and value is subjective) but getting Sky Class perks like CK access & SL drinks makes the deference from a balcony cabin MUCH greater IMO.
  12. That’s how I handle it, especially with CocoCay where I’m not sure all our voucher drinks have ever showed up in our account and we don’t even drink a lot. Last trip I think we had 3-4 there… zero showed up.
  13. That’s a hard pass for me. I’ll look into it when it can be booked in advance like the normal times. I want no parts of dealing with anything MTD-related on Wonder. We had early seating on deck 4 in March & the MTD “line” as we left the MDR was more like a sea of people extending out towards the elevators.
  14. Be aware that on many ships, 5:30 is actually 5:00 now even though it may say 5:30 on your cruise docs.
  15. Agreed. Not even close to worth it to me but I also don't care about my cabin.
  16. St. Martin - Captain Bob's speedboat snorkel tour. Have done it twice and loved it both times. Nice mix of snorkeling, touring the island from the water, some beach time, seeing the planes overhead at Maho, a nice lunch, and beer, water, soda, rum on his boats. https://www.soualigadestinations.com/most-popular-tour-for-cruise-ship-visitors/
  17. I had occasional issues in the past as have others so I know why it was recommended to bring in a drink but no issues on my recent cruises... unless the server forgetting to actually ding me for a voucher counts, lol. Whenever I've had an issue in the past, I've used the CL (then DL) concierge to fix it. Much quicker than waiting in line at customer service if it's busy there.
  18. I find myself agreeing with a lot of your opinions... We love the burgers at Playmakers; always have dinner there one night (we don't do a ton of specialty between frugality and my wife is very picky). I like the Lime & Coconut for how unique it is. Not my favorite drink but I always get 1-2. Definitely something that goes down easy. The drink I could drink 10 of is the Mississippi Moonlight at Mason Jar (blackberry moonshine lemonade with fresh blackberries, not a strong drink but very good and goes well with brunch). Enjoy your last day onboard and thanks again for sharing.
  19. Oh, right, I forgot there were some fancier ones up on 18 too... and you're welcome. This stuff is all above my pay grade... I just happened to be treated to a GS by a generous family member on Wonder last June. We had the closest GS to the SL/CK... I loved it. I don't care about my cabin (it was nice, don't get me wrong) but the perk of being 10 steps from the SL/CK and one deck below the sun deck was the highlight to me. Most of my family hardly left the suite neighborhood except to see shows.
  20. Not my blog but here ya go. Loved the suite sun deck on Wonder. Several daybeds, loungers, small pool, loungers in shallow water… and right by the GS & OS’s if that’s the type of suite you have.
  21. @#1TravelMom We already crossed paths regarding Rony and Roatan in another thread but this led me to a a follow-up question... What are your thoughts on Manawakie vs. Mayan Eden?
