  1. That’s encouraging. Maybe they’ll crank up the a/c in June/July. If not… back to our new spot.
  2. I get off-topic all the time, lol, and I’m gonna keep it going here. Some of the singers on Wonder were on AGT based on the description but that’s all I can tell you. Thanks for the Edge recommendation but I’ve never ever sailed anything but Royal. I’m a creature of habit & enjoy knowing everything about Oasis class & having a routine (plus I love the tweaks they made to Wonder aside from the warm, enclosed Solarium). Other people may find that boring but we all like what we like. We don’t mind sailing with kids. My wife is a teacher so we’re used to it. We also just hit D+ on our last cruise so I’m looking forward to some of our new perks. Obviously I’m not thrilled about the recent pricing but at least for the last one & these next few my group rates weren’t too horrible (especially the ones in March).
  3. Cabin location is personal preference. Personally, deck 3 is the last place I’d want to be just b/c it’s so far away from the upper decks where I spend a good amount of time. If there are other cabins available in the same exact category, you can switch for free (by same exact I mean 4V to 4V or 2V to 2V, not just interior). If you’re interested, your TA can do it or you just call RC if you booked direct.
  4. Have you looked into an SE? It’s inexpensive and more similar to an 8 than anything but runs the latest software & is expected to run iOS 18 which I believe will be a big update.
  5. What type of headliners does Celebrity have? I’ve been checking Wonder’s headliners for a while since I had/have several cruises booked on her between last month & July & while we had a comedic juggler last month (not a fan) it has been mostly singers.
  6. Agreed on all counts. I think the skaters do a great job in all the shows but the special effects put that one over the top. The aqua show is called InTENse. I can appreciate what they did with it but we prefer more diving as well. We’ll be on Wonder for the 3rd time in June & the ice show is the only one we’ll definitely see again (we always go to comedy but that’s obviously different depending on the comics).
  7. Agreed. Since you like margs, there’s a new one in the Schooner Bar I tried for the 1st time last month on Wonder that I liked… Desert Pear with a black salt rim.
  8. Food is VERY subjective. I can tell you what I like but that doesn't mean you will. My standard advice is to choose based on what looks good to you (and your party). We don't do a ton of specialty dining and Harmony actually only has one restaurant I've been to so I can't give much of a personal opinion anyway. I like Sabor (many don't) but that's mainly just for the guac, the bacon jalapeno chicken app, and the desserts. Not a big fan of the entrees but it's inexpensive compared to other specialty restaurants so I'm content eating chips and guac, a bunch of those jalapeno chicken apps (our server on Allure in October brought me a triple order when I told her how much I liked them, lol), and desserts. First time on Oasis class has that effect. Just do your research, watch YouTube videos, ask questions like you are, and don't get overwhelmed or drive yourself nuts worrying about missing something.
  9. No set time these days. It used to be early in the month before your cruise month but my 6/2 Wonder entertainment opened 2 days ago (50 days out and 2 months before my cruise month). You can purchase now and, if you see a lower price, cancel and re-book.
  10. For years I never got these pointless promo e-mails... then I signed up for them using a backup e-mail address and got them that way. I quickly learned Royal's poor IT was actually doing me a favor all along and unsubscribed the backup e-mail, lol.
  11. Yep. And you can really just grab everyone's arrival times and fill in everything else later.
  12. A certain % of reservations are held back for booking onboard so you can try to make reservations once connected to the ship wifi. Otherwise you can just show up and get in via the standby line as mentioned above. Don’t worry, it’s highly unlikely you won’t be able to see whatever shows you want.
  13. No set time. My 6/2 Wonder cruise opened yesterday (50 days out). It used to be early in the month before your cruise month but some (like mine) are now opening earlier.
  14. We don't do a ton of specialty but MJ brunch is currently my favorite specialty meal. Some good drinks at the bar too, which is very popular at night when the country band is playing. Yep, they designed it really well. I don't mean to be negative but it's usually very similar. One thing I kept grabbing there that I never saw in the WJ for breakfast were little pre-made smoothies. Sometimes I pour 2-3 into one of the larger plastic water cups with a couple ice cubes to go.
  15. Since you seem to book suites, you'd likely love the suite neighborhood on Wonder. We were treated to a GS on Wonder last June. Everything is right there if you're in a GS or OS. We had the closest GS to the door to CK/SL... I could get to the SL bar in like 15 steps... it was glorious! And the suite sun deck is right above you and quite nice. No crossing the ship like on Harmony (the only other ship on which I've had a GS). All that said, I recently went back in an interior and loved the ship just as much... just for different reasons. Can't wait to be back on her in June and July.
  16. We had this tip before last month's cruise... and apparently it's no secret b/c they were taken very early. That said, when we did get to check out the vents, there really wasn't much cold air coming out. No biggie, we'll check it out again in June and if it's still hot we already have our new spot... just outside the Solarium in a shady corner not actually near the pools.
  17. They're few and far between but at least you know there have been SOME deals over the past 6 months. There was a $799 balcony GTY for Wonder in DEC, my 5N Allure in OCT was like $330 for interior GTY (we ended up taking a CP view interior for not much more), and now this one. Plus it's not like I'm vigilant about searching for deals like I'm sure you will be.
  18. No, my wife wasn't willing to take an entire week off on 10 days notice. Base price before taxes/fees was like $650 or something. Not the deal of the century but low for Wonder.
  19. Yeah, I don't understand the point of the current GGG flier tbh. Last Thursday I stumbled upon a good price on an interior GTY on Wonder leaving in 10 days... but that wasn't on the flier. Instead they post the non-deals like you mentioned. Why bother?
  20. This poster has been compiling recipes for every drink RC has and here's the zero-proof section. They will make anything they have the ingredients for so feel free to ask for other suggesstions but here's a starter list (click on the top part of the link where it says July 9)...
  21. Yes, they have a list of non-frozen mocktails but I don't have a handy reference for you. I believe they call them zero-proof cocktails. They have stuff like nojitos and other concoctions. I don't think you will find actual non-alcoholic spirits though.
