I'll look forward to hearing about the Baltic trip. It's on our bucket list. Have a great time, both of you.

And another. Thoroughly enjoyed your blog. Well done.

NoVaMimi, you will be delighted by little unexpected surprises on Seabourn. Just two to whet you appetite. On one cruise, the chef developed appendicitis and have to be taken off to Gibraltar. The ship wasn't due to go there so we just stopped out in the strait to wait for the ambulance boat. It got really cold as everyone was on deck watching the transfer. Next thing, the staff came round and gave everyone a little bucket of fries (we call them chips) to warm us up. The chef was fine btw. Second thing. Our room stewardess on another cruise was Portuguese and at a fabulous international event in the bar with amazing food and drink from all round the world, I mentioned to her that I love the little Portuguese custard tarts. Next thing 6 of them are delivered to our room. Seabourn is great.

Thank you both. That's very helpful.

Any suggestions as to how we do this? Regular taxi? Uber? Train? Anyone any idea of cost?

Ok, it was worth a shot. I still have the coupon if you hear of any other Seabourn newbies.

Notjaded, if you pop over to the referral coupon 'sticky' at the top of the Seabourn Cruises page, you will see I've offered a $400 coupon which will give both of us $400 onboard credit. Feel free to email me. My info is in that thread. I'm not supposed to do it here!

bspill - agree with you 100%.

I have a referral coupon available for any new Seabourn cruiser sailing before November 2016.

Don't forget to go to the top of the Seabourn page on here and get yourself a referral coupon which will get you $400 onboard credit.

The higher numbers of suites on Deck 7 can sometimes be noisy when loungers and chairs are being moved on the pool deck right above.

Transatlantics are by far our favourite cruises. Long, lazy sea days, do what you like, be as sociable as you wish or even as unsociable! Trivia, martini making, cooking demos - all sorts of stuff mentioned in other posts. I guarantee you won't be bored.

Don't miss the Boi Bumba show in Parintins. Very colourful.

Us too. We think the Spirit is a beautiful ship. Love the spacious bar for pre-dinner drinks and socialising.

Loving your posts, Terry, keep 'em coming!
-
That's good news.

I hadn't heard about this. If you Google Seabourn Insider, you will see a list of the cruises available. It seems to be mostly Baltic and Mediterranean and dates up till July 2016 but you have to book by 29 Feb.

Hi Leesre, I was in exactly the same position as you. Someone on CC advised me to email guest services which I did, and the reply, which came the next day btw, confirmed that we do have OBC for our next cruise.

I've emailed you to offer help!

Loving it, Terry. Wonderful memories of the Wind from Cape Town to Las Palmas. Can't wait to see more. Keep up the great work.

Thank you, that's very helpful.

Help! I think I set some people up with a referral coupon last autumn but I can't remember for sure. Is there any way I can check on My Seabourn to see if I do actually have $400 OBC?

We have an 11.05am flight from Changi on the morning of disembarkation. What time should we ask to get off the ship? Does anyone know of a taxi firm we can pre-book?

Me too. I love it. Lets me have a wee chat with a new member of staff and ask where they're from etc. All part of the Seabourn socialising.
