Ok I had no idea what quest was so now I won’t miss it!

On our last Grandeur cruise they pretty much told us to give them high ratings and about the survey and how bad it is if you don’t give them all 10s. Saying it’s how they get promotions etc. so when I saw that question on that survey I was surprised! I wonder if they know that question is on there!?

I’m just reading this thread too as I come back from my sons divisionals swimming meet �� Every afternoon after swim practice a group of 6 elderly people come to the pool and walk in the pool. Well 2 weeks ago one of them passed out and fell into the pool. It was quite a fiasco and was called into the Fire Department as a drowning. He was in there underwater for quite awhile before the lifeguards could figure out how to get him out (I wasn’t there but swim coach was). So bottom line again not only kids need lifeguards.

I find this a very interesting thread and eye opening, except for the first lunch I didn’t eat in the WJ at all on my last 9 night cruise. Yep every breakfast lunch and dinner in MDR. But now I wonder if I’m missing out on some good food!?! For me personally I’m on vacation and want to be waited on, I don’t want to carry around a tray, want to have to search for a table etc. I’m never in any rush and I enjoy the slow pace. My 11 year old daughter came with me every time too. My son and husband sometimes went to WJ. I’m also a bit of germophobe so I know avoiding buffets helps too.

 

I was actually on Deck 3 on my last cruise earlier this year. I had a live thread, if you want a link to it, let me know. I was far aft interior. One warning about the last cabins on this floor (and may deck 2 or 4, not 100% sure). On every cruise supposedly, the crew has a huge party. It was only 1 night, but it sounded like there was a club next door (I was the very last cabin). I suspect it may only affect that last cabins, and maybe the cabin next to mine, but the bass permeated through the wall like tissue. It kept going till 2:30am. Just a fair warning for those rooms.

I agree the 6:30 movie should be PG and later movie PG-13. But maybe they think those with younger kids are in the dining room still at 6:30?

Agree where the beach beds were it was rediculously shallow

The beach were the beds were wasn’t great last year tide was really low and it wasn’t really sand in the water but was more ‘mud’ can’t really explain it? Loved the bed and view but not doing it again this year

I'm glad we didn't prepay for additional mats. With it being low tide, we barely used even one of the two that came with the bungalow.

As a teacher I bet most of these parents are ones that always say ‘my kid would never do that’ Thank you for taking precautions to protect your children! Good parenting!

Honestly it’s not even fair for those true support dogs-as the previous poster stated there really isn’t a true place for them to get proper exercise when they are off. How about an alternate vacation?

I have tall skinny kids too so I feel your pain. Only pants I’ve ever found to fit my 10 year old are gap slim. But yes I think nice shorts with polos are fine.

I have the drink package, hubby doesn’t. 😂 (he gets internet for work) we did the same last year when both people didn’t have to in same room. Worked out fine he just ordered occasional drink and we brought on wine. Now we are in two seperate rooms with the kids. I’ve been hearing about a buy one drink package get one 1/2 off. But since my reservation doesn’t have another adult it’s not showing up? I think it’d like to get him the drink package if it’s truly 1/2 off the sale price (I paid $42 a day) can I link the other reservation with ours or should I just call.

What about on Grandeur?

We had a waiter once who would serve our family of 4 two cheese plates as appetizers. They were on the table within minutes of us sitting down. I loved it as a starter.

I agree Disney was nice-someone passing out wet wipes to everyone entering dining room, hand washing stations in kids areas etc. I’m very OCD and have been pleased with RCI, but I never eat in the buffets either...

But even if she lied about her weight, how does that impact the two way radio system? The all-clear shouldn't be given until the person is safely off the line. You can try to come up with excuses all you want, but this was an amateur hour excursion RC sent these folks on and as a result, someone died. RC can expect to pay out tens of millions of dollars in an upcoming lawsuit.

Looks great! Is Bob Leininger really that bad!? I've only heard negative about him? We had Susan Adams (Cruisin Susan) on the Grandeur last summer and she was OK.

Yeah I noticed even people that were 15 minutes late is was frowned upon

Only way I can see it’s the couples fault is if she lied about her minimum weight. You have to weigh enough to get down the zip line...
