  1. Good morning

In response to your recent post, a glass of fruit juice (150ml) is £1.65, a draught mixer such as Pepsi and Lemonade is £1.65 and a Mixer in a can again Pepsi, Lemonade, Ginger Beer is £1.85. Please note these prices are subject to change. I hope this helps.

    Regards

Thanks for posting. Can you please clarify what you mean by a draught mixer. I appreciate it is from the soda syphen but what size of a glass swould you get for £1.65

  2. I sailed on the "Balmoral" two weeks ago and saw the menu. It was very typicla "grill" menu but I don't have a copy. On the odd occasions I looked into the part of the Palms Cafe where this new "eatery" is placed it didn't seem as if there was a great demand for bookings. I didn't meet anyone who had eaten there. Perhaps on the Christmas cruise the food was so good that passengers didn't feel the need of a change of menu. Perhaps on longer voyages it will prove more popular. Sorry can't be of more help.

    Thanks for your reply anyway

As I said suites get 1st priority and will presumably get an early embarkation time. Be aware though that Fred do board later than other companies and do not offer lunch onboard. Times do vary with individual cruises but I have found head office very good at giving approximate times for start of boarding, which will presuambly coincide with the embarkation time for most, (if not all), suites.

Thank you. We are staying in Southamptoon the night before our cruise and having a suite, because we could not get a balcony, so I was hoping one of the perks would be early boarding

  4. We embarked Braemar on 23rd November in Southamton I asked about the embarkation priorities that are used now.

The first priority were, (I think green), cards which were issued to suite passengers. This was followed by gold, for gold members who had booked freedom fares.

Then there were two more colours (orange and white), but I cannot remember which group had which colour card. The first priority of these groups was for people who had booked freedom fare. All other passengers were given the colour used for the last embarkation group, which included all anchor fares, regardless of Oceans status.

This worked extremely well for us as we had booked freedom fare and there were not many people with green or gold cards when embarkation started and we were there fairly early.

Do you know what time the suite passengers were allowed to board. Thanks

  5. Thanks for your previous help, I think I will book the railway.

I am leaning toward doing it from Sognefjord, as I think Bergen offers more for a DIY day, which one would you suggest please.............

I would also like to know which excursion Titled Norway in a Nutshell would be best ie the one from Flam ( Sognefjord ) or the one from Bergen.

  6. It's appreciated when people offer their thanks for helpful replies.

I have sailed on some of the largest ships and also some of the smallest. I much prefer the smaller ships, as the sensation of being at sea is more evident.

The Norwegian fjords are beautiful and I hope you have a thoroughly enjoyable cruise. :)

    Thank you your welcome
